What a brilliant and talented man. His dishes are easy to make and the good thing about all of the dishes in the book is that you can get the ingredients even in your local supermarket, if you have no good markets near you. The recipies when cooked taste like your mum's, grandmother's and if you lucky to have tasted ypur great granny's cooking then its like a blast from the past on your taste buds.
For All those young and old fellow british caribbeans that have lost the way and art of cooking due to whatever reasons, will find their way inside levi Roots Reggae Reggae Cookbook. great value for money at the price that I picked it up for. Not sure about the humour but if you can see past this then well worth a read. If like me you're trying to a bit more than just a point and click shooter then this will give you some good, and easily accessible, tips.

It's not a bad book, it's just not that great, and it being Rankin, you do expect something far more than half-decent. And that's all this book is really, half-decent. Compared to most of the Rebus books, it's very thin on the ground plot-wise. Most of the characters are fairly forgettable; though the premise of the heist is not without interest. It's still the page turner we have come to expect from Rankin, but you get the feeling you know what is coming on the next page. To some extent this is true of any author you get used to reading - you get to know the style and way they tell a story. You knew with the Rebus novels that the loose ends would tie up at the end somehow, but not much of an idea how. In this book, the only suspense at the end is over ... Read More:

Although the paper quality is not the best (comparable to those cheap colouring in books you can get), the outer covers are strong and bright but it's the content that makes it great value for money.
My six year old has spent ages with this book drawing and perfecting his pokemon favourites. Step by step instructions along with simple diagrams, even the most difficult figures are a cinch once you know how. 17 characters to draw with hints and tips for each one. What could have been an excellent investigative book turns out to be a difficult to read book. The first chapter is riddled with metaphors and is written in such a florid style one begins to wonder if it is a different author. Maybe an author who was confused on whether he should be writing poetry or prose rather than hard fact.
Subsequent chapters are infused with far too many names and places for any reader to grasp. Once in a while there is a flash of light when the author concentrates on one character and gives an insight into his biography. Alas, these examples are too few. My little girl has been interested in these types of books from the age of 2 months (she also has a pets one) when she became fascinated by the pictures. She is now 4.5 months and still loves to look at the pictures (with a few sound effects from mum or dad!) or just grab the book and scrunch it up (it makes a crinkly noise) and put it in her mouth! It's very light so she can move it around easily. These kind of books aren't expensive and I reckon they're well worth the money.

Special Forces is a compelling read, and succeeds in communicating the tremendous bravery of our armed forces through gripping prose. A great book, and highly recommended.
