The latest edition of this best-selling textbook has undergone considerable revision. The previous edition I borrowed from the library differed from this one in both appearance and content, but on inspection I find the later one much better. It is not a cheap purchase, but for anyone serious about research in education, sociology or any of the humanities it is a must-have volume and an invaluable source of references for academic papers, theses or even coursework essays and assignments for students.

I am well over half a century in age and have really enjoyed these books! Age does not play a part when something is written as well as these. Don't ever miss out on a treat because of 'age'!!!!

The Complete Guide to Asperger's Syndrome is a must to strengthen your strategies as well as your knowledge on any kinds of specific symptoms on Asperger Syndrome. Also, Dr. Attwood explains other related and/or complicated syndromes. Although this book has so many pages, it is quite easy to read and includes no complicated structure. It is reader-friendly, if you ask me! If you find it quite tough to read it all through, you might as well pick up your favorite chapters. And it's going to lighten the loads of your mind and deepen your understanding on your AS traits.
After all, this book provides a lot of solutions to tackle their problems not only for Aspies but teachers, parents, friends, siblings, colleagues, and bosses who deal with ... Read More:

I found this book entertaining, amusing, and also thought-provoking. It's a fast-paced "stream of consciousness" ride through a whole spectrum of facts, trends, quotations, ideas and forecasts, from society and government through to science, technology, food, retail and travel (and more besides).
Future Files provides a snapshot of where we are as a planet today coupled with extrapolations, thoughts and insights to get the creative juices flowing. I found that the book sparked a lot of fresh ideas on both a business and a personal level, and engendered a certain amount of perspective and clarity on many topics and trends.
The book contains hundreds of facts, ideas and connections, yet its style is engaging and easy to follow, ... Read More:

Born and bred in Wigan.I had read 1984 and Animal Farm but had put off reading TRTWP until I was 50.
Orwell writes of the hopelessness of the masses and concludes that they accept their lot because of the "palliatives" of modern technology i.e.cheap clothing (dream of being Greta Garbo or Clark Gable) , alcohol, the movies, radio, the football pools etc.
The government massage and manipulate statistics to show unemployment levels and poverty to be a fraction as bad as they really are.

I bought this book when i'd met someone i liked a lot and for a change he was a decent guy and not a bum. After a few dates he seemed to loose interest in me and i just didnt know where id gone wrong. So looking for answers i came across this book. All ill say is its been two months since we had a date and through the guidance of this book i have subtly got his interest back again. (we had a good date saturday) Its not so much mind games but sound common sense advice. Even if this dont work out it helps to pick you up and not be so hard on yourself.

I really wish this was as good as the gentlemans guide which is really marvellous- The detail is a little lacking by comparison and not nearly as compelling-like many other readers I agree there wasnt too much detail here and perhaps not a great deal of new material.Perhaps it would suit a younger reader as a gift.

From the very start, re-labelling 'Collaboration' with 'WeThink' is actually annoying. After 200 odd pages of hearing 'We Think' can do this and that, becomes downright offensive. 'We Think' is mentioned probably a hundred times, and WILL drive you mad.
This book is one step above rubbish. It repeats age old examples of well known successes, and tries to convince the reader that it has been rebadged and improved. And by rebadging an old idea, means you can call everything We Think.
So, my honest opinion is that you should not pay for this book. Sure, if a friend gives you a copy, then read it.. You can then laugh at them for paying for it (speaking from experience!)
