I'm not an expert on fitness or bodybuilding but I'm an enthusiast who is training for 2 years, more or less and have been always looking for new books to give me the results everyone is looking for.
I first bought "the complete book of abs" from Kurt Brungardt and followed his programme. By the moment I finished the programme, I had no doubt in buying this book as well as the complete book of arms.
If you want to have a sculpted body, then kurt has the right programme for you. Buy his books and follow his programmes and you'll be satisfied for sure.

I bought this book recently because I had got myself into a rut of cutting out so much from my diet that I was hardly eating anything at all. I choose this book because it has seasonal recipes, and tells what goodness is in each meal (vitamins, good for cholesterol etc). It also tells you how many calories are in it. The problem is it doesn't tell you a) how many servings the meal makes and b) whether it is total calories or calories per serving. I also found a lot of the meals to be unappealing using quite a lot of specialised and expensive ingredients which really put me off. When I did attempt to make a mushroom soup it was awful!
This book might be ok for some, but for most people, if you want to be inspired with quick, simple, ... Read More:

I knew there was something more to Japanese food than sushi and I found this a new beginning into 1) Japanese lifestyle 2) Japanese home cooking. I found the stories behind the food interesting and they've certainly stuck in my memory. This doesn't just deal with not getting fat but also looking better for longer which is related to nutrition. Highly enjoyable and very readable.

The Everyday Dairy-Free Cookbook is well set out, simple to use, explains dairy allergies plus intolerances and contains tasty, easy recipes that everyone enjoys.
What more could you want?
It has enough nutritional and allergy information but lacks the heavy, bogged-down feel of some other books. The recipes take their rightful centre stage!
The practical, but tasty recipes can transform meals back into pleasant experiences!
There are also handy tips for eating out/away from home.
The yorkshire pudding/toad-in-the-hole recipe never fails.....
There is a handy list of calcium concentrations in other foods, such as some vegetables. There is also a good list of brand-named replacement ... Read More:

Incomplete recipes for turgid slop! I have been a veggie for 22 years, and am a good cook/baker, so I thought I'd try this. It looks like a good idea (if you can get past the pseudo-science in the intro), but the recipes just don't work, that's if she's bothered to finish them - several had bits missing, which is just lazy writing/editing.

I agree with the other reviews this is a really nice book and very well illustrated. It is both a reference book and an enjoyable reading book.
It blows away many myths. People who know a lot about food and diet will still find much of interest.

I absolutely love using this book especially when I am stuck for ideas of what to feed the kids. It contains loads of recipes that provide essential nutrition and also creates fun for feeding times! I would strongly recommend this book to anyone who loves giving their kids good food.

I think this book is great. The recipes are really tasty although definately for those who like cooking and don't mind the preparation. I have lost half a stone in weight without trying (remember - this book doesn't sell itself as a 'lose weight' diet book) I have also got more energy and have stopped topping up with chocolate etc after my meals.
Get it!!

This is an exceptionally useful and lovely book as not only do I want to (and am) trying every delicious recipe, but I'm learning all sorts of things I had no idea about that is changing the way I want to eat.
I highly recommend this book to anyone and am now ordering another book by these authors
