This book is excellent , it's probably my favorite pilates book I have. There's tons of exercises for the foam roller , elastic band, magic circle/small ball and a few exercises with a pinkie ball and even one exercise with a towel. The book is very comfortable to use because of its lay flat binding and the writing is concise and easy to follow along with the pictures. There's also a "suggested workouts" chapter with programs for specific body parts(like :knee ,foot & ankle ,lower back) to help you rehabilitate in case you have injuries and want to strengthen those parts also there are full body programs for every prop and one multiprop workout using all the props together for a challenging and varied workout ,the programs ... I bought this book along with the Calorie, Carb and Fat Bible 2008 and this little book is the one I have used most. It is easy to use and I found it a lot simpler to understand. If you just want a quick reference guide to help you count calories through the day this is definitely the book I'd go for.

This is a good addition to the authors' previous book. It isn't the usual blah, blah, blah, but scientific information which amount to common sense. I am grateful to the authors for keeping me and my wife young at heart. I was happy to buy for my wife this book as "her own" copy, after we both extensively studied the original "Younger Next Year". Another great book that I highly recommend is "Can We Live 150 Year". In fact these two titles should be sold in one package.

This has got to be one of the best diet books I have ever read. It is easy to follow both in the reading sense and in the dieting sense. It isn't so much a diet as in you have to cut things out, but rather a healthy eating plan. I have been following it for nearly a week now and not only have I lost weight I feel so good within myself as well. This book also gives guidance to those who wish to gain weight or just lead a more healthy lifestyle. Oh and by the way the recipes are DELICIOUS.

I couldn't believe this book. First of all, though, as another reviewer said, the fact that this is built around eating healthier foods (veggies and fruit), is deffinitly a good thing. But that's as far as it goes. I think the underlying meaning is to convert us to vegans.
What people need to understand about dieting is that if you eat less calories than you burn, you'll lose "weight". If you eat a few meals consisting primarily of veggies per day, then it's pretty much a certainty that you'll consume less calories than you burn. You need to eat A LOT of veggies to get a lot of calories, that's why the author puts the spin on it as "unlimited". However, most us don't actually want to lose 'weight', we want to lose 'fat'.
A good book that provides a great deal of information for its price.
The five chapters are: understanding PCOS, all about carbohydrates and the GI of foods, taking charge, putting the GI to work in your day, and recipes. As well as this there is an A-Z of GI and GL in the form of tables, a good glossary and an easy to use index (including a recipe index separately).
The book is easy to read and will not bamboozle you. When I was first diagnosed this is one of the books I bought and is up there amongst the favourites.

Can't understand why anyone says that there aren't enough vegan recipes in this book - 3/4 of the recipes contained in it are vegan! The rest incorporate healthy animal produce and could easily be altered to include vegan or vegetarian ingredients instead. ALL of the ingredients are easily sourced in grocery stores & supermarkets. So the book is indeed for the whole family and anyone who wants to adopt a more holistic lifestyle. It contains excellent advice, is easy to follow and learn from and is beautifully presented with truly delicious & nutritious recipes for all.

Although this really is a very nice cook book from the always reliable Ainsley, it is in fact a stripped down version of the 2006 "The Feel Good Cook Book" with only 80 recipes instead of the original 150!
This wasn't made clear in the description of the book when we bought it so we feel we've been misled.
