All 15 books in this series are fantasic, once you pick them up you won't want to put them down until you have read every last one. I recommended them to my husbands younger sister (she is 12) and a very 'reluctant reader'. Upon reading the first one she was hooked and sped through the rest of the series in a matter of weeks.
These books on the whole portray an accurate depiction as what being wiccan is about. There is abviously some artisic license, as what work of fiction would be complete without it. I myself have lived as a practicing witch for 9 years and found the descriptions of the festivals ect to be very accurate. >>More Details |

Darwins Angel pokes the holes in Dawkins arguments easily (it does not take much) and with a great deal of wit. That is the great enjoyment of the book. Cornwell uses the guise of Darwins Angel who becomes Dawkins Angel as he claims to be Darwins heir, of which Darwin I am sure would be horrified although I am sure Professor Dawkins would think it a great mark of respect for Darwin to be associated with him.
Each argument is dealt with and the flaws in the logic appear all too apparent, and there are some laugh out loud moments. An entertainng book with a very serious purpose! >>More Details |

was highly impressed with insights and suggestions on this recording. One can put only so much information on one CD and for what you can learn and experience as a newcomer to Shamanic journeying in a little bit more than ONE HOUR, I have found this CD awesome.
I particularly liked suggestions relating how to ask good questions and set an intent for a journey. One particular suggestion would apply to any form of divination. For example, if you ask your spirit helper (power animal, etc.) "Should I marry so and so?", the spirit helper may say "Sure, go ahead". Then when you get married to that person, you find out that the marriage was a complete disaster and start to wonder about the effectiveness of Shamanic journeying. Sandra ... An excellent and rounded book that feels like an essential to anybody interested in Norse myth, Heather O'Donoghue's book is less an exploration of the myths themselves than a delve into the way they have resonated through the ages and been interpreted and used by successive generations. Although all the myths that O'Donoghue explores are first presented, it certainly helps if the reader has at least a passing familiarity with Norse mythology prior to comign to this book.
That said, the book starts off very well indeed. It's (thankfully!) not a dry academic tome, but is written in a chatty, almost conversational, tone that makes it an easy read in spite of the occassional difficult to grasp concept.
