I picked up this book at Gatwick airport and as soon as I started it (on a beach in Tenerfie 24 hours later), I could not put it down. It was a brilliant read - so worth the minor investment. Having read a few of this 'type' of book, I can sincerely say that this one was certainly the most effective. Confidence is so important in young children especially and my husband is the Headmaster of Oakwood School in Chicehster; he promotes confidence throughout the school as he sees it as one of the most important life skills that the school can teach the children. After I read this book, I had the confidence to email the author and I am confident that he will come and visit the school and show the children how they can help themselves and well as the ... this book is fantastic, my and husband and I found out very quickly that controlled crying was not an option with our 8 month old baby as she would simply vomit 2 or 3 times if we left her to 'cry it out', and for me, personally c/crying is not fair on a small baby who's only means of communication if she is upset, terrified or in pain is crying. This book helps you to teach your baby to sleep peacefully without crying and really does work!! it is a gentle approach which does require some patience (but belive me it IS definately worth it) and my daughter now goes down at night in her cot awake and puts herself to sleep!! this only took a matter of days! i only wish i had had this book right from the start and will be using the 0-3 month old techniques with ... I am really interested in the Mitford Sisters so I have been really looking forward to getting this book. It was much bigger than I expected but was very enjoyable. I admit that I got a bit bored with all the footnotes and about half-way through just started to ignore them unless I was really confused. Through the letters you get to see life from their many different perspectives, it really made me think of the relationship that I have with my own sister and the many times that we have seen the same situation in very different ways. I would recommend this book to people even if they are not a fan of the Mitfords- it gives a really good insight into that period of history.

Just when you think that Stuart Macbride can't get any more gruesome he manages to find another spin. The subject matter of this book is somewhat harrowing, that of a canabalistic serial killer, but it keeps you gripped from start to finish. I found myself reading and could not put it down, despite the night becoming early morning. I read it all in one sitting. I cannot recommend this book highly enough and it is worth reading despite it's macabre and gruesome nature. I certainly did not guess the end which took me completely by surprise. A well woven tale, which is completely and utterly enthralling and compelling.

Sounds to me as though this author has never even met Paul O'Grady and wrote this book by rehashing stuff from the papers. Don't bother.

I can see how this might work for some people, but it definitely wont work for me. I have IBS which is triggered by dairy amongst other things, and a lot of these recipes have things that I cant eat suxh as butter and cream, although they do sound tasty.
However, my main concern with this book is the misleading information. Reference to good fats in butter and double cream, in my opinion, is complete nonsense. The fats found here are saturated fats, the bad kind. The 'good fats', or fatty acids, that are an essential part of our diet are found in foods such as nuts, avocados, olive oil and oily fish, NOT butter and cream. I think Neris and India should have put a bit more research into this before misleading their readers.
It is a good book to get you started. Covers alot of the models in NLP and is set out so its easy to read and understand. But as i said a very basic book.
If you want some good advice as a rule of thumb on getting books on NLP avoid the new stuff. Stick to the earlier books by Bandler preferably the first ones for e.g 'From Frogs to Princes ( is a must if your serious about this subject ) not only are they humerous but are like the bible of the subject and come from the pioneers, the fountain of knowledge. Derren Brown will even give you this advise also.

I loved reading the first two books of this series, but had great trouble with this one. I got the feeling I read it all before in the Abhorsen series by Garth Nix... If I had wanted to read those again, I could have simply picked those up rather than spend money on a new book. Still, at least I know how it all ends now?!
