Took this book on our second visit to Lanzarote - and wished we'd had it first time round! It was very helpful and much more informative than the guide we used before.
Great restaurant info. We discovered some really nice new spots. The Fuerteventura chapter gave us just enough in the way of ideas for us to plan a quick side trip over there. We had fun but now understand why there's only the one Fuerte chapter in the book - Lanza is just SO much nicer (sorry Fuerte fans!!!) >>More Details |

I believe the title is far more revealing than one might imagine. On the whole, I would highly recommend this book as a foundation or starting place for a trip to Mexico; though inevitably for a general guide, bredth of information surpasses depth.
The book is broken down into rather helpful zones or regions of the country, making the act of planning far more convenient. Each zone is subcategorised into cities and towns (most with a street map of the town centre). This precedes a broad description of the history and points of interest in the town, then a list of some of the better eateries, hotels, transport links, and nightlife. Helpful pointers to the quieter bars and restaurants
(as well as the obvious ones that you can't miss) and little places like Bottom Bay that would be easy to sail/drive straight past. Not enough on where to stay when the cricket is on and everywhere is full ! >>More Details |

As the other reviewer has said this book is is a nightmare. Badly laid out, with no map of the city overall making it difficult to understand where you are.
The restaurants that were tried in Bracciano were both disappointing. The shopping section was also poor - the major shopping mall at the termini was no more than you would get at the airport. Poorly written over complicated - the book lost its credibility and therfore ending up in the bin before it completey ruined our holiday. Do not buy!! >>More Details |
