This book contains everything you need to prepare for a trip to Egypt. Very sensibly laid out and beautifully illustrated it offers concise information on how to make the most of a visit to Egypt. Other guide books I have read contain pages and pages of unbroken text which makes trying to find what you are looking for very difficult. The index and layout of this book makes it one of the most practical and easy-to-use guide books around. The pull out map at the back of the book also makes a useful addition.

I bought this book prior to a trip to France. The book is easy to use, with nice pictures and easy to read text and a useful map. It is in a small size format (A5) so fits neatly into your glove box or bag. However, we found that all the places that it described were grossly exaggerated - which was very disappointing when we got there only to discover that the place was considerably smaller or with less to do than described. Still a very useful book though, and we saw a lot of places that we may not have otherwise known about. By the way if you are visiting Brittany, please note that most places are completely shut between 1 and 4 pm, and generally 'all day markets' are only open in the morning!
