This is a great puzzle, but is very light on the more difficult versions of killer. There are only 5 'deadly' killers (52 min and over), and these were not of that high a standard compared to the ones that I have seen in the times...

Playing the Enemy is a very timely book. In these days when nations are often more divided than before, Nelson Mandela's instinct to show respect, friendliness, and common purpose with those who saw him as an enemy is a beacon that lights up the potential for all people to come together to accomplish more. John Carlin has used the Rugby World Cup imaginatively to illustrate the essence of President Mandela's approach. Mr. Carlin is a wonderful story teller, and you'll feel chills as you read the many great moments he brilliantly captures in Playing the Enemy.
Leaders have always used foreign enemies to bring their purpose together. Who realized that this could be done at the level of sport rather than through war as a way ... Read More:

I've always been a Killer Sudoku fanatic. I just find Killer to be much more interesting and challenging than normal sudoku.
The Times books are also by far the best - i've tried other Killer Sudoku books and they're just too easy or not laid-out very well. The Times books are well set out and easy to take on holiday or do one when you've got a spare minute at home. So much so for me that i've completed, re-bought and the re-completed each of the other books (1-3) before this one (sad i know!).
This latest offering features much more challenging grids than the other books. Some of the grids you just get stuck on, and however many times you keep going back to it you just can't see what you're missing! As such this is the book ... Read More:

Both my son and husband spent hours over Xmas making paper airplanes and then chucking them all over the house, possibly the best present I have bought. The instructions are really clear both my husband who always wanted to be able to make paper planes but couldn't and our 9 year old son found they could follow this book.

I share the first reviewer's scoring for this book, although not his affection for the brutal end of the sport. Rather, the history of boxing (like that of its poorer cousin, pro wrestliing, and its travelling companion, the mafia) fascinates me for sociological reasons. I agree that the author has omitted to choose his preference, but he's hinted at it by listing them Leonard, Hagler, Hearns, Duran and I'd guess this matches the public perception, with SRL at the head due to his show-biz image and the rest in that sequence due to the results of high-profile contests among the four. I personally favour Hagler, who first caught my attention by thrashing the evidently-overrated A. Minter, and Hearns, who upset me late on by beating the quiety capable Dennis ... Read More:

I completed that main story of GTA4 and some of the side games also but was not getting anywhere near 100% completion, then I picked this book up.
The story is only 68%, and this book gives you lots of detail on how to make up the remainder of the game. From pidgeons to when to meet a hidden character and where to pick up weapons for free and armour, stunt jumps etc - it is all in here. These bits of the game are really time consuming to master, and without a guide I don't think I would be able to manage it. There are also a few handy (pull out) maps included.
Whilst the major chunk of this book is a step-by-step walk through of the main story - I bought it to help steer me towards the 100% mark. I think in this respect, it has enabled ... Read More:

An absolute must for everyone who enjoys daft jokes. Equally good for 7 to 70 year olds, particularly if you tend to forget jokes pretty quickly.
