This evil epidemic has been sweeping across our world for many decades. In South Africa alone ninety percent of the populas has it and in England and other prosperous countries it is rapidly getting out of control. Even in these countries we still are not aware of how this disease actually takes control of the body and how we can catch it.
This book tells the viewer in a friendly easy way all the ways in which you can catch, prevent, and look after HIV and AIDS.
This is all very good. Unfortunatly like a few other reviews on here i too do not buy into the whole diary based book. I believe there may well have been a "Nancy" but nothing like the one we see on the pages, the story is just to fanciful for my liking, a girl of fifteen ... Read More:

I read this book and found it so unbelievable that I did not believe it. It just did not ring true to me at all.
I agree with the grandmother who said'It belongs in the fiction section'.

I cried buckets when I read of Kim's childhood. I find it astonishing that some women lucky enough to become mothers can behave so appallingly to their children. Just as surprising is the fact that they get away with it. It's not easy to shake off this kind of cruelty without being scarred. Well done Kim for managing to leave her past behind and building a good life for herself. She sounds like a lovely lady who so deserves some good fortune. Best wishes to her.

One of the most graphic and shocking child abuse autobiographies I have read. Shy's book is a terrific read and one of the best autobiographies I have read - Highly Recommended.
Shy experienced shocking abuse throughout her young life, she was badly neglected and was treated like an animal by the man she had to called Dad. The sexual abuse was absolutely appalling including gang rapes- absolutely horrifying and it is a heartbreakng read.
It must have taken immense courage to bring this book to the public arena
and Shy's honesty and courage is to be admired especially as she managed to secure convictions for her abusers despite several people in authority dismissing her as a liar.
Well written entertaining book. I was amazed that the author is the same confident business women that I have witnessed on several tv shows.
Jacqueline Gold writes a full biography detailing her abuse by her stepfather but that is only a small part of her book although she has carried the emotional abuse with her through the years.
Jacqueline includes some wonderful photos mainly of her family which compliment her story.
Jacqueline has also suffered through several broken marriages and struggled through the stressful process of IVF.
She has become a very successful director of Ann Summers and the book traces her way through a male dominated business world and tells of her encounter some very narrow ... Read More:

The intelligence and the love required to write this book are colossal. To help, often violent, children of horrific abuse on a daily basis for years, to truly understand THEM and to maintain a normality oneself - cannot be done any other way than with one's whole being, with one's heart, mind and body. That is Camila's message and that is what she has been doing all these years. I've been listening to her on the radio for years thinking that there is this one person different from all other charities, helpers and thinkers, who truly understands the problem. Camila provides not just the story of the kids themselves wich has a healing power for them, but also provides the bigger picture of cause and effect in our society even on a global level, and shows that, actually, ... I was half way through reading this book whilst hitting extreme turbulence on a flight to Bucharest. All I could think was, how annoying not to finish it before crashing!Such was the effct it had on me.It was both harrowing and enjoyable at the same time and a real page turner.I had never realised the effect that mental illness could have on a family and Ros Morris's starkly written book makes a huge impact.Mental illness is a subject swept largly under the carpet, I hope this book goes some small way in redressing the balance. It certainly deserves to.I passed it on to my wife who found it equally compelling reading.
