Bought this book to read on holiday and could not finish it! An awful read oozing in self importance, arrogance and pomposity written in the style of a school diary. Don't waste your money.

My mother asked me to obtain this book for her as she was a member of the organisation, and a friend recommended it to her. She has been totally enthralled by it. It has brought back many memories to her. She feels it is an excellent book, which would also be interesting to people who were not involved. She and her friend feel their experiences could fill another book!

When we visit a museum and see wonderful paintings of striking women, seldom do we think about the conditions under which the art was created. Did the artists and the model have a relationship? If so, what was it? Did they have enough to eat while the work was done? Were they considerate of one another? Was the studio warm or cold? What was the model thinking about as she posed? How had the woman come to model? And so on.
