i'd read the book, i'd checked the nurtrition list given, but i wonder talking about juices therapy, i knew barley green is the best green food/ juices which i come across but why doctor didn't mention anything about it.Is alfafa better than barley green, i knew alfafa is acidic n barley green is alkali base. This book is a delight to read. Each page unfolds with a little information about the design and evolution of the kitchen garden. It follows the needs of vegetable growers in the early days through to the large estates who grew vegetables that today we only import from outside the UK. The dedication to the kitchen garden is always close to the surface as you follow in the tour round the kitchen garden. Tips are placed through out the book so new gems are there to make you stop and think how they could be used again in your smaller garden to produce some of the year round bounty that was a real part of the old kitchen gardeners skills.

A superbly well written book which covers a wide subject area concisely. This book manages to be interesting and informative, and certainly has benefits to give those who follow its wise words. As the son of a person who is suffering final stage bowel cancer i believe that i am in a good position to judge the truth of the content of Juicing Therapy. Just three weeks ago, my mother was lacklustre and without energy, after reading and 'digesting' the information in Dr Jensens book (and obviously using it), there is a considerable improvement. Nothing else we've tried has worked! This book has information that should be of interest to all those who need or like to look after their health - and in my experience it is solid information.

My main source of information - lots of background and explanation but the most useful condensed section at the back - practical and concise info on planting, management, harvest and storing by vegetable type.

This book on the face of it has some very nice practical pictures and illustrations. However, this is not one useful for the novice.
Flicking through it, I have already found an inexcusable error. It states that Winter squashes can only be stored for up to three weeks. Okay so this is a typo and they probably mean three months, however, three months is still wrong. I have half a dozen winter squashes I grew myself 6 months ago waiting healthilly and patiently to be devoured in the dining room.
Some winter squashes are even storable for up to a year in ideal conditions (without the use of a freezer). See winter squash 'nice long' in the Organic Gardening Catalogue, highly recommended for both organic and non-organic gardeners. ... Read More:
