This is a real winner; I would never have thought my 8 month old would be eating curries, but he has loved every single recipe I have cooked in this book so far. I've not stopped cooking since I got it! It has made catering for the family so easy; I just double the ingredients to make enough to batch freeze for my son, and a meal for the 3 of us. I honestly think my vegetarian diet has improved as a result of this book. I would recommend it to everyone, meat eaters included.

I ordered this for a dragon obsessed, militant vegetarian (aged 7!), after finding it in the age 5 - 8 range. On its arrival, I found it to be a wonderful book - very colourful and with a great message! However, I think my friend's 7 year old would feel quite patronised if I gave this to her for her birthday, as it's more suited to a younger child, so I've decided to keep it for younger visitors to the house, or in anticipation of my own children instead!

Told in diary entries, BANANA SPLITSVILLE recounts the story of Courtney's senior year.
It isn't off to a great start -- her boyfriend, Dave, is going off to college and he just dumped her. Angry and jaded, Courtney makes a vow to be boyfriendless for the year. She instead focuses on other things, like running for Class Vice President and working at the Truth or Dairy. All while pining for Dave.
It's obvious that one of Dave's friends, Grant, is interested in more than just being pals with Courtney. Too bad she has that whole vow thing going on, because Grant is really cute!
In this romantic comedy by Catherine Clark, Courtney's character seemed a little vain to me and I had a hard time feeling empathetic ... Read More:
