This elavates it over myriad diet/lifestyle books for the health obsessed reacting to the latest health scare or diet fad in circulation! The authors, (a mother and daughter team) have a very personable style, referring often to their herb gardens, vegetable plots and blissful family meals--positively Darling Buds of May! The version I have was written twenty years ago and I hope it hasn't been updated for the 21st century! If you are looking for excellent raw cuisine, or if you are interested in great vegan recipes, try this book. Having experimented with both for 20 years, I find this book to be among the best in either genre. Almost every recipe I've tried is truly noteworthy, but the living foods recipes stand out as both delicious and easy to prepare. Highly recommended -- by someone who is not big on angels, but who loves to eat well, and hates a lot of prep.
