I am a great fan of Rose Elliot and I have a number of her books which I use frequently. In recent years, my family has decided to cut down on fat and sugar in our diet, and I thought the title of this book by one of my favourite food authors was promising. Sadly, the recipes are too extreme for someone who wants simply to correct the balance of their everyday diet. Those I have tried were lacking in flavour and interest, and so low in calories that the family had to fill up on bread and butter! The first thing I noticed, was that unlike many other vegan cookery books, I was familiar with most of the ingredient listings. The few ingredients that I was not familiar with, were all available at my local supermarket and/or health food chain.
You have to be aware that vegan foods do often take a little more time and effort to prepare, but the results are definitely worth it, and of course you can always freeze ahead.

Also in showing that one can expect an increased edge over others while consuming a plant based diet during training and competition. His list of current vegan champions in their respective sports supports his work.
