I needed it for my Higher course, but when it came through the door i thought it was the wrong thing. I mean it has cartoons!!! But after using it in class i realised just how helpful it was. Theres loads of notes, and little passages describing whats going on (in plain English for those not able to determine who's just died, as there is a lot of that! I mean it is Shakespeare after all!!!). But it's still is perfectly acceptable for senior school studies,
It makes reading it almost as enjoyable as watching Leonardo DiCaprio splash around in that pool!

I was given this book by a teenage collegue, who said this was a great read and as I'm in my late twenties was fairly sceptical. It certainly prove me wrong. I really enjoyed this book and just before i finished it, i bought the next in the triology. I saw the film after i had read the book and the film disappointed. It is not a patch on the film. Read this book instead of watching the film!

To solve this problem she will have to think of something really really good! I couldn't put this book down. It was just SO good. A detailed and well written book that anyone can enjoy.

This is the second in Pullman's Sally Lockhart trilogy, the sequel to The Ruby in the Smoke. I made the mistake of reading this one first; each of the books contains big spoilers for the previous one, so I strongly recommend they are read in order.
This is another absolute masterpiece from Pullman, but rather darker than its predecessor. The Ruby in the Smoke talked about greed, desire and stupidity; The Shadow in the North addresses the question of evil face on.
Sally has begun to make a name for herself in business, an incredible achievement for a Victorian woman, and to drag Frederick Garland's photography company back from chaos and near-bankruptcy. A seemingly innocent enquiry by a client about a sunken ship and an apparently ... Read More:

Everyone has their own way of revising. Some use flow diagrams or minds maps, some prefer revision cards, and some really learn from working through a revision guide. If you, like me learn best from this, this bok is fantastic.
Each topic is a chapter, and it guides you through with diagrams and bright clours, which makes it very readable. It says that at the end of each page you should write down what you have learnt from this page, and at the end of every chapter there's some revision questions and some practise exam questions. Used properly, this book leads you into the exam properly prepared.
I have the CGP books for Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Maths, French and Geography and I think they're brilliant
