I bought this in a last minute rush before my GCSE exams, it breaks the topics down brilliantly.
Some bits are still incredibly dense, but thats just Science for you!

I snoozed through year 10 and 11 Biology classes, learning very little. When it came to revising for my GCSEs, I used this book and got an A, and went on to get an A at Biology A-Level, which I would never have chosen if it weren't for this humble revision guide. It's written in a humourous, silly 'dad' style, but packs in an alarming amount of information and is very strict with its readers, using the good old "Now cover everything up and copy it out from memory" way of learning - which is the only thing that works, and isn't too hard taken in bitesize chunks (which reminds me, whatever happened to BBC Bitesize revision? Is that still going? Yawn!). I can't recommend CGP revision guides enough.
This series is amazing! If you love vampires, anime, romance etc then this is the series for you. The story is full of new twists and is highly entertaining. I cannot wait for the next instalments and shall be following the story to the end :)

These are the rarest of children's books - ones that you can enjoy as a child, and then love again as an adult. Pratchett's wit made me laugh at 10, and at 21 I can still find them funny and moving, perhaps even more so. Lovers of Discworld or Good Omens will find a lot to love about the descriptions and situations in the Johnny books. I'd say they're a perfect introduction to Pratchett. They're inoffensive without being soft, and smart without being difficult for children to understand.
Long:
The Johnny books are, first and foremost, fun to read. Pratchett's descriptions and dialogue are funny and colourful as always, though his use of footnotes and paragraph long metaphors are less in evidence than usual. ... Read More:

First I need to start off by saying that I am a big fan of the Asterix series. And I found these stories very entertaining. Though first published in English in 2003. This set of stories was originally published in French in 1996. And was a huge success.
The book contains fourteen tales, including: The day Asterix and Oblix were born; How Oblix goes back to school; Fashion in Ancient Gaul; How Dogmatix helps the village cockerel win a duel; How Dogmatix is adopted as a Roman mascot; Asterix as you have never seen him before; Obelix's adventures under the mistletoe; The bid for the first Gaulish Olympics; The story of the creation of Asterix; The family tree of Obelix; and much more. Pick up this fun and book.
