My son really enjoyed this book. It captured his imagination and we have had lots of interesting chats about different countries and cultures around the world. Excellent for participation and goes really well with associated books on flags and geography.
My daughter and I love these fairies. It is a wonderful little book that opens up oh so many pictures in our heads of things we can do with the bits and pieces. Regretted terribly that I had not ordered several to give away, and am going to buy a bunch to have a fairy making party this summer.

Sounded good but way over my 6-yr-old son's head, not helped by strange illustrations (apes in human clothing) and some inappropriate use of language for this age group. Concept possibly suited to older child. Didn't enjoy at all.

My son age 4 is learning his phonics sounds at home and this poster is in the living room and also his bedroom. We spend about 10mins sounding out the letter that he has learnt. The pictures along with the letter reminds your child (and you) the correct sound for each letter. Well worth the small price for this poster.

Hairy Maclary from Donaldson's Dairy is the ideal starter book to this fab series. Its pretty basic compared to some of the later offerings and introduces us to a lot of the characters with its charming rhyming prose. Characters such as "Bottomley Potts, covered in spots" (a dalmation) and "Schnitzel Von-Krumm with the very low tum" (a dachund)(excuse the spelling!). And how could we forget "Scarface Claw" - the toughest tom cat in town, whom my 3 year old is currently totally potty about to the point that he's demanded more books featuring Scarface Claw for Christmas (and its only October). Thankfully he won't be disappointed as there are other books in the series featuring this tough tom cat, including a book dedicated to Scarface Claw himself! ... Read More:

This is an absolutely fabulous book! Not only does it have all the attractions of Usborne such as the storylines, illustrations, characters but they have come up with a 'take-wherever-you-are-going' toy! Brilliant for the car, going to Great-Auntie Lucy's/Grandma's etc! It's robust and looks good too. All three will be wrapped for nieces and nephews and I will be buying extra to keep in case of unexpected visitors! Fantastic value.
