I love this book and all the other ones in this series because the illustrations are so great, very sweet, but incredibly bright and colourful at the same time, they really catch my babies' attention. They are also hardcover which is great for younger children because they cant tear (or eat) the pages and they can start to try and turn the pages themselves rather than have to sit there and be good in case the book gets all torn!

Found the book really useful as a simple introduction into signing for babies and young children. However don't buy from here go to the makaton website as the book is much much MUCH cheaper.

'We're Going on a Bear Hunt' has been one of the favourite stories for children at the nursery where I work for years. It is a beautiful and well-constructed story, with nice use of repetitive language patterns that children can join in with or re-enact.
I was a little concerned by the idea of a DVD version: I didn't want to see one of the children's favourite stories ruined by over-production. I needn't have worried. The DVD is beautifully-produced. It doesn't detract from the story in any way: the animation is simply an animated version of the illustrations from the book and the narration (by Kevin Whately and Emelia Fox) is just right. This is worth the money, it is everything it says!...The children love it too!...It has a column for everyone, with plenty of room to write in or add the stickers provided eg dentist,party,holiday and so on.there is a pocket at the bottom to put in lightweight paper bits eg party invites, appointment cards ect....Overall we were all very pleased and I am sure you would be too!.

This was the first Usborne book I bought for my son, and it's still one of his favorites. He loves to roar along with each lion and find the tactile part of the pages. A beautiful book, wonderfully illustrated and excellent for the age group. A definite must-have!

I introduced my daughter to this book a month ago when she was 9 months old, and it is by far her favourite book. She crawls over to it and lobs other books out of the way to get to it, and then happily sits turning the pages and opening and closing the flaps, she can't get enough of it no matter what time of day it is, although we also read it every night before bed as well. We've had to buy a second copy as I know she's going to tear something soon, but to date it has withstood her vigorous opening/closing/page turning! I would highly recommend it.

I have two older children that i read these books to when they were younger and thay loved them very much I know have another child who is 5 and I have just started reading the percy books and she is loving finding out how percy helps his animal friends when thay are in trouble these are great books

It hasn't got mirrors it has bits of tin foil which give you a headache, it's like looking in the funny mirrors at the fun fair. Don't bother buying.
