The Diamond Girls is my second favourite Jacqueline Wilson book, because as you are reading it, you feel for Dixie, the youngest Diamond in the family for what she has to deal with in life.

This book is so exciting. I am absolutely NOT a friend, relative or business / publishing associate of Bear Gryyll (Or however you spell it).
So, like all the other comments posted here, this is a 100% genuine recommendation. So come on Plebs, go out and buy this cross platform marketing exercise like a good consumer.
Everyone who has read the Harry Potter series knows how fun, interesting and addictive it is to read, so the seventh book is essential for those who have dabbled in the others. Possibly the most engaging book of them all, this last edition takes a different style into what would be Harry's final year at Hogwarts. The sixth book was said to be dark but it is in the seventh that great change happens. The plot deepends enormously as do the characters, who have grown up so much since their first days. J.K. Rowling is a gift to children and adults alike. Conclusion: essential reading if you have read the others, although really that goes without saying!

That this is not a hardcover book but is a box containing the paperbacks - still ok but not what I was expecting and have asked Amazon to make clear

The stories are as good as the "normal" Famous Five audio CDs, but a word of caution. The actors who read the parts of the five (except Timmy of course), and mother, aren't the same as the other Hodder CDs. Not that it detracts from the stories (and the voices are indeed very close), but small children can be confused as to why the "Five" aren't the same people.

I was not sure what to think with all the hype and anti-religion stuff that surrounded the release of the movie, but having found out that my Dad had read the books years ago and enjoyed them decided to give them a go. These are technically childrens books, but dont let that put you off. The ideas, science and relationships in these make you wonder if this was really aimed at parents and not kids. More adult I would say than Harry Potter for example. I took the whole set with me on my holiday, and read them all before I got home..... Fantastic read!
Only 1 small criticism is the 'Golden Compass' name and movie pics on the covers..... I never saw what was wrong with Northern Lights, but I suppose they had to change it after they decided ... Read More:

This a set of 5 books. They are fun, adventurous and really exciting.I have enjoyed reading them with my Mummy and Daddy. The stories are about 3 children called Simon, Jared and Mallory and their adventures with creatures like goblins and boggarts. They go on a quest to find their great uncle.

I book this book at a charity shop. I had never read it but had seen TV and film dramatisations and it was on my list of books to read, along with Jane Eyre, The Tenant of Wildfell Hall, and Shirley (Brontes). I found the story and characters in Little Women very boring and it seemed to take an age to read. Thank goodness I'd read the Bronte books first; these are the 'classics'

Installment 4 of series three of Warrior Cats. Eclipse is my favourite book of the third series of Erin Hunter's fabulous Warrior Cats books. For those who miss the feel of the first series, set in the old forest camps, this will probably please, as it embodies some of the atmosphere and writing of that series. As always the excellent writing builds tension throughout the book and there are ample surprises. My only disappointment was the ending. All the books in series three seem to have rather hurriedly finished endings! That said, can't wait for the next book.

WOW! Another 9th birthday gift for my daughter in May off her grandma, it may seem like a lot of money but in several high street stores they were selling them separately for £30 each and the cheapest I saw this set for was £175!!! Each book is wonderfully bound with gold leaf edge on the pages and a copy of JK's signature on each book, they are beautifully presented in a VERY sturdy box with a ribbon to hold them all in.
A great must have gift for any Harry Potter fan.
