The book is beautifully produced but the text is too small for children to read on their own, more suitable for adults, or older teenagers.

I have had these cards for a while now and use them in my childminding setting for playing snap and learning french words. All the children from the very young to the old love them. And it is great to hear recently that one of the 10 year olds I look after said it really helped her with french lessons at school.

Being a ten year old I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It introduces Bill very well as her feisty character develops throughout the book and you see another side of Darrel. I love this book and recommed it to anybody who loves Enid Blytons Books.

I was given this book by a teenage collegue,who said this was a great read and as I'm in my late twenties was fairly sceptical. It certainly prove me wrong. I really enjoyed this book and just before i finished it, i bought the next in the triology. I saw the film after i had read the book and the film disappointed. It is not a patch on the film. Read this book instead of watching the film!

I have a 2 and a half year old bright little girl, I thought about teaching her the alphabet but didnt know where to start, these cards make it easy and in bite sized fun chunks, in 2 months my daughter nearly knows them all and now points to random letters and says their sound, they are a bargain for the use you will get from them, just bought the more phonics flashcards too which are a bit more advanced combining letters to make sounds "au" ai oo ee etc great

My parents brought me this wonderful Oxford dictionary when i was just seven years old as they thought that it would help me a lot with my spelling and general understanding of the English language, which is so hard to understand even now!
