This is the only Sandra Boynton book we have and my 20 month old daughter thinks it is fabulous. We read "hippo" every night and she shouts out whats going to happen next, "Beastie!", "Balloon", "Helicopter!". There are lots of things on each page to point out and helps with numbers, colours and objects too.

It's beautiful. One caterpillar disappears on every page for another reason. The book is simple, yet varied and entertaining. It teaches counting and it's got different things to look at (different insects, different plants) on every page.

Absoultely gorgeous book, well written and humourous in places. Even though my daughters now 2 and her brothers now 6 ( and just the idea of another baby is enough to make both mum and dad run to the hills screaming!) this book still gets read at least once a week. Excellent value too!!

I great book - my one year old reads it every night before bed. She loves lifting the flaps and recognising the different characters. It's also a really good length for her age, not too long (so doesn't get boring), but has a proper story she can follow (so better than basic board books). And a great rhyming text. Rabbit has a range of facial expressions, which is rare for childrens characters. And the animals are not just the predictable dog and cat (there's a fox and tortoise too!) I'm sure we'll still be reading this one this time next year! >>More Details |

My daughter loves Maisy and friends and would choose to have this book read to her every night. On each page there are different weather scenes with movable flaps and sections that are great for little fingers to play with (under guidance). Some of the moveable parts have now been pulled too strongly,but have been repaired! The vibrant colours are great for small children and sound effects my husband makes whilst reading this, has added to the fun my daughter has with the book.

My 3 year old loves this book....we only received it a few weeks ago and have read it over 25 times already. The illustrations are great and the book and pull out flaps are pretty sturdy in comparison to the other books I have bought recently. I am just about to buy the other fairy tale book in this series!

My sister bought this beautiful book for my 7-year old daughter. Whether you are a fan of the Cicely Mary Barker books or not, this book can't fail to delight any girl who likes fairies. Every page has a different place where fairies can be found, and the pop-ups are incredibly detailed with holes to peek into, flaps to lift and things to fascinate every time the book is opened.
Even though this book is a pop-up book I wouldn't recommend it for young children as the intricate pages could be damaged by eager little fingers! >>More Details |

My baby boy loves this and the others in the series. He liked them from just a few weeks old and now he's 9 months he grabs them off the shelf and insists on 'reading' them and touching all the different textures.
