When I first heard about this television series, I heard it was the next 'Lost' and that it would be the next phenomenon of the television world. Sadly, I didnt think it lived upto the hype and overall the first episodes were a dissapointment. Although I was very uninspired with 'Heroes' I continued to watch but wasnt too annoyed if I missed an episode. Towards the end of the first season I had developed a passing interest in the programe and I was bordering on actually enjoying it. Finally when the season finale' came ... I had to be in to watch it.
Whilst I dont think its anywhere near as good as 'Lost' .... Heroes is still good .... to a certain degree. In the end I found that I liked it enough to look forward to the second season.

On the face of it, I shouldn't have enjoyed these three. I'm not a fan of zombie movies, generally finding them deathly boring, and I don't play video games, so I came to these movies completely uninitiated in the RE universe.
But I have to say that I found all three RE movies extremely enjoyable. Are they high art? Of course not. But for what they are, they produce the goods. I think the addition of a fairly solid plotline and generally rounded out characters lifts them above the average zombie movie.
My only complaint is that in RE3 we are never told what happens to most of the surviving characters at the end of RE2. With the exception of Alice's love interest, who reprises his role, the others are simply forgotten about and, apparently, ... Read More:

I admit first hearing about this i remember thinking that it was an X-Men Rip-off.
I'm So Glad that i finally realised that this isn't anything like X-Men.
First off - No Silly & Easily Noticable Costumes (with a huge H or the Helix Sign splattered on them) so they are ordinary people with extraordinary gifts.
Also Quite Possibly it has a Villain scarier than Darth Vader: Sylar.
the Villain remains as a thorn in the Heroes' Side throughout the First and Second Seasons and then takes his place as the lead Villian in Season 3.
I Must Say in closing that put these story's down into several 2-3 Hour Movies and these will be better than the three X-Men Films put together.
I love Heroes and having recently got a Blu Ray player, waited patiently for this to come out.
Ther series itself is fantastic. Some people didn't like Season 2. I agree it wasn't as good as Season 1 but I enjoyed it nonetheless. At least it tried to be different and some cool new characters were introduced.
Picture quality is good but not fantastic. There is an immense amount of detail but sometimes there is too much. I was particularly distracted by the Scenes with Niki as you can clearly see her make up.
Sound is average (poor for DTS HD). All dialogue comes from the centre speaker and although other sounds use all speakers as required, I was just as happy listening in Stereo.
The Final Destination trilogy are fantastic films that make you think that today may be your last day before death pays you a visit. The films are gorey, clever, have good acting from all involved and even though you have a rough idea of who will live, the film throws you off guard with several suprises. 3 great films that are fantastic value for money.

This is a comedy-drama detailing the story of Elle Wood onetime fashion major student at University of California and her transformation from a `superficial blonde air-head' to a `brilliant Harvard law graduate'. All this having come about because her boyfriend, Warner Huntingdon the 3rd dumped her on getting admitted to Harvard Law. In pursuit of him she passed the SAT and got into Harvard Law only to find that he was now engaged to his old flame, another Law student called Vivian. When it became obvious that he will never consider her good enough for him, she had to go into self discovery mode to prove that she was as academically brilliant as the rest of them, if not better. This movie is laced with great comedy while telling a great story on self discovery, self believe and the power ... Read More:

Perhaps the funniest Kevin Smith film upto now. Jay and Silent Bob return, this time as the leading characters of their own movie. Other characters make pleasant yet brief returns. This film is more whacky than any other Kevin Smiths pervious movies, but be warned its not for everyone. If your a foul-mouthed, pot smoking, comic loving, red-bloodied male .... then this film will be hard to dislike. If you like more sutble and tasteful comedy ... then maybe this isnt for you.
Out of all Kevin Smiths films that I have watched, this is the best yet.

The programme material is fine... my issue is with the packaging. There are 4 episodes each on discs 1 & 2, 2 episodes on disc 3, and 1 episode on disc 4..!
Plenty of room to spread the 11 episodes across 3 discs - at a cheaper price.
