The first thing that I have to say is that this isn't a great movie,not by a long way.It's too long,boring in parts and I had the same problem that I had with the first film in the series.Namely,three of the four children are a charmless bunch bereft of any personality.Apart from Georgie Henley that is who plays Lucy.She gave the best performance in the first film and is also the best thing about 'Prince Caspian'.As the Prince,Ben Barnes certainly looks the part but his accent varies between Spanish,French and Scottish.I also felt that this film was aimed directly at the children's market. I was looking forward to this movie, this was one of the iconic books from my childhood. I have to say that I very much enjoyed it, however maybe not as much as the first film. The filming was excellent, with beautiful backdrops and surroundings, very good CGI and good acting. It's been so long since I read the books however, that I can't remember if this was faithful to the original though... will have to re-read them I think! The things that let it down for me were the comedy elements, the mouse-knights and alike fitted very much with a Disney film, however I thought that they were not necessary, and detracted from the story. This is one of the best movies I have seen in a long while. It is very old English which I love. Kristin Scott Thomas plays the role perfectly and with every sneer and put down she has you laughing more and actually loving her more too. Colin Firth's classic moment has to be when he reminds his daughter she is English so she can fake it - pure English humour and so true! This movie really shows the English aristocracy as most of us imagine them to be - silly, a bit pompous, stiff, anti-American (in a harmless way), snotty and into sick blood sports. Breakheart Pass must be one of the best action/thriller/western movies ever made!I have seen this movie at least 50 times,and i am still thrilled then i hear the opening seen.You hear the train coming behinde the mgm logo, and then appear on the screen.I have both uk.and us.versions,in norway this movie don't excists.The uk.version is approx 5 minutes shorter then the us.version. so because i'm such a fan i have both.+++++ >>More Details
