When I first heard of "Pet Sematary" I was clicking through the channels late at night as an innocent 13 year old to see the Spinal Meningitis inflicted girl fling up in bed to give quite a traumatising speech, a scene that has stuck with me since..
Since then I have read the novel, bought the dvd and have been scarying myself ever since.
I am being honest here, but this is probably the most scariest film I have ever seen, I am not sure why because I am 18 now and only just gained the courage to watch it by myself at night with no one in the house (and my house is in the middle of the woods).
Part of me wants to give the film 4 stars because I believe a little bit of the acting could have been slightly better ... Read More:

I recently rented pet sermetary after wanting to watch it ever since i read the book, i loved the book and wanted to see if the film matched it. I got even more excited when i realised the screenplay was written by Stephen King (who even has a small cameo apparance).
The film follows the story well, with a few changes which were in some ways an improvement of the book. Such as Victor following Rachel Creed around, which in some scenes added a hint of comedy to the film. The casts is realativly good however Denise Crosby seems to lay her acting on a bit thick and can be realativly annoying. And Fred Gwynne is perfect as Judd.
However i wondered why Stephen King found it necessary to leave out Judds wife and parts of the ... Read More:

Tobe Hooper may have made us take notice with CHAINSAW and bounced back with POLTERGEIST(That is ofcourse if you dont believe the rumours that Spielberg did more than just produce)but everything that followed was CRAP.......Then along came Toolbox murders and I remember thinking"DAMN!!!! he's back".This along with his not bad episode of Masters Of Horror seemed to spell a return for this fallen horror great, but HEY!! i'll stick with him cos he's got MORTUARY comin out soon and its from the same team that made Toolbox,well....was I dissapointed its CRAP.Mortuary starts well, building up some tension and introduces some good characters, then about 40 minutes in just goes nuts and not in a good way.Its as though Tobe ran out of script and just made crap ... I've always loved this movie since I saw it on video many years ago. I finally got around to buying the DVD and watched it with a group of friends recently. Without exception, the guys loved it and the girls hated it!
You can see why. It's basically the story of a rich, talented guy who works his way through a string of short term relationships with beautiful women whilst acting like a complete jerk. In other words, he is the kind of guy that most guys want to be and most women claim to hate.
Comedy-wise, for the first half of the movie the laughs come from amusing banter, with our hero dishing out put downs and caustic comments to all around him (and suffering more than a few himself). The movie then goes into more of a slapstick ... Read More:

It isn't hard to see why this is a classic amongst lesbians the world over. One of the first (if not the first?) to have a relatively happy ending for the couple and show a love scene between two women.
The story is passionate and realistic in the emotions of fear, longing, love and confusion that are felt by Cay and Vivian. Beautifully filmed with one of the best soundtracks ever - if you like (old) country music!
I can't sing enough praises and I've already watched it about 3/4times in the space of a couple of weeks.
I don't know this movie was a bit of joke to me. I mean if you can get past the cheesy special effects, you will probably be blocked again by the acting. At least it runs the spectrum - there is over acting, under acting and just plain bad acting. Who (s) is responsible for this...the Read family. They sinks their entire life savings into the pipe dream of Elliot Read (Sam Bottoms) to have the best little doll manufacturing plant ever. His hopes are dashed however as he and his kids visit the "state of the art" plant which has apparently been closed down for years since the original doll maker died. Apparently his real estate agent copied some impressive figures from an American Business book for all of the financials on the company. Really, hasn't Elliot ever heard ... Read More:

When i bought this version of all good things i was pleased to see that the feature leagth version has scenes in that were not in the two part version as released on video before this one i was glad to see that they had decided to end the series on a high note and that although we know that we would not the future as shown here because it would not happen as the enterprise d would get destroyed in generations it was a good look back at what was a great and exciting series as we see the enterprise fly away at the end i was sad that we would not see this crew again on a weekly basis apart from the odd film every couple of years a great ending to what was a exciting series.
