I thought Season One and Two were fantastic, and the mystery and lacks of answers was enthralling. However, I felt that Season Three started to go astray, and it just seemed to keep creating crazy questions just to keep us on the edge of our seats. If you felt that about Season Three, then you will continue to be frustrated with this season. Instead of flash-backs, we now have flash-fowards, which seem great, but through the progression of the season, the situation on the island becomes more and more ludicrous. The climax of the season is just completely awful, and proof that all the greatness is Lost (pun intended).

This review will be short and sweet. Most of what needs to be said already has been but for one question; Is Dharma real?
We have found people in hatches pressing buttons and recording information because they have been told to in the style of Stanley Milgram but are we not doing the same? Don't get me wrong; I'm enjoying it immensely, but are we not being played with in Dharma fashion? The story leaps about with very few answers and yet we keep pressing the button (the play button on my DVD)because it seems the right thing to do. I'm convinced that Lost is produced by The Dharma Initiative.

Bad acting, dull nonsense of a script, poorly paced and directed.
Anyone giving this pathetic excuse for a tv programme 5 stars must have a 1 star life.
Stop sitting indoors watching hour upon hour of this patronising rubbish and find some friends instead.
Preferably ones who don't like this bunk.

After the end of Season 1, I found the first two episodes of Season 2 to be a bit boring, but by the third episode it kicks off really well. If you havent seen it you are in for a treat, without giving anything away, I thought that the best episodes were "the other 48 days" and "Dave". Can't wait to see what season 3 will be like :)

Love this movie primarily for it's dark, brooding imagery, beautiful photography, stunning FX and make up and costume design, and ruthlessly executed battle scenes!
Sauron is well represented by The Mouth Of Sauron, The Witch King Of Angmar, and a gigantic army of 200,000 plus Orcs, Easterlings and Harradrim warriors. Forget the boring Shire, Hobbits and Elves, it's the forces of Mordor that are the stars here!
Fantastic weapons abound; from the crude, handmade arms of the Orc legions, to the gigantic flail/morning star of The Witck King and Grond, the massive battering ram of Mordor. Great creatures in service to The Dark Lord, Sauron such as Shelob the spider, Drummer Trolls, armoured Battle Trolls, Vargs, and the mastodon like Mumakil. The Orcs this time, are better ... Pretty much 'Life in a northern town' - a great series that should have run for 7 seasons. The last episode was first aired back in 1998. ITV originally dropped the series in 1990 after a one off, and 6 years later the BBC made it its own, buying up the 1986 novel rights and producing four seasons before cancelling it. The BBC series starts with Hetty hitting 60 and becoming increasingly determined to do something with her life. With her sidekick, the 'adopted' wayward teenager Geoffrey, they slowly evolve into a highly believable private eye investigative agency, and are rather like a 'Miss Marple & son' for hire. Doubting hubby Robert adds some additional support, mainly noting how much trouble they get in to, and for such little reward. All of Hetty's cases are mostly gentle stories, ... Read More:

I was expecting some good things from this series after reading the reviews, and I have a pretty broad interest level when it comes to TV drama. However after getting totally hooked on West Wing and feeling empty when I had traweld through the many eposodes I looked for something else and was recommended this.
I have just got to the end of the first series, and apart from an aeroplane crashing, the story hasnt really develpoed much from there.Big egos in the story line spoil tend to make the whole thing predictable and dull. Each episode had a vague story, but it was so engulfed in endless dialogue and flashbacks that I eventually lost patience.
There is too much other stuff to watch, to keep trying to get into this. Watch a couple of episodes and youre either know ... Read More:

I got this set largely because I had some Amazon cash given me, and the wife and I have enjoyed the show since we started watching (late in the first season). It was probably inevitable that we would get the DVDs, but this big box made the choice easier. And with this set, the box is really the main reason to spend the money.
Packaging on the individual seasons has not really been particularly attractive, or even in line with the aesthetic of the show itself; this box corrects that with a big, Hatch-inspired, Dharma-logo bedecked design. I showed it to a neighbour who's never seen the show, and when he saw the box he said, 'That box alone makes me want to see this!'
For the contents inside, there's probably plenty of information with each season box's listing here on Amazon, and this ... Read More:
