Brilliant animation, endearing central 'character', nice plot line, and the environmental issues are well handled , and not rammed down your throat - consequently they will be lost on most of the kids that watch it , I suspect - nevertheless , it's good to see it in mainstream cinema , and you never know, subliminally....................
However , the intensity and pace of the action really got to me about 3/4 of the way through, and 1/2 hour of it could have been cut out ( and I don't usually have attention span problems - it was the same in Ratatouille - why do the always overdo a good thing? - it's for kids for god's sake, they are happy with a shorter film ).
see it though!

Bad,Bad, science fiction. Staggering, so limited in scope and view. This film is behind even existing tech. Just read one of the Ian Banks Culture novels to understand. If you don't know it's real now, you are already too late!

The apartment is one of the essential Christmas movies along with the other black and white classics - It's a wonderful life, Miracle on 34th Street, Some like it hot and Scrooge. It's a fantastic film for a cold, dark December night and seems to work best at that time of year, just like The odd couple or Rear window work best in summer.

A comedy DVD dont' get eny funnier than this!. Will and the gang just had so much fun that by the end off the shoot, there was enough material to make a second fiture - not a secuel (comes out in 2009) but a second take on the epic jurney, of the number one news team, and there far out eskapades. This is the kind of DVD you watch with the boys, smoke some Green tobaki... and just laugh you're self's blue in the face. Right up there with "Jay and Silent Bob Strikes Back", "Tenacious D - Complete Master Works", "Terror Firmer", and some of the John Waters stuff. This one makes Jim Carry look like a 2'end grader trying to impress his school-buddys, by pissing his pants...
What can i say? - I just love lamps.

We all know the story of Chicken Little (Zach Braff), the poor little chicken who tried to warn the town that the sky was falling only to have it turn out to be an acorn. But what happened to him after the story ended? That's what this movie tells us.
Turns out that Chicken Little is in middle school. His exploits of a year ago are an embarrassment to his father, Buck Cluck (Garry Marshall). And the fact that there are commemorative plates and an upcoming movie based on the story haven't done much for the father/son relationship.
Despite Buck's constant pleas, Chicken Little is determined to prove his worth to his father. And, just as he's about to put the whole sky is falling nonsense behind him, it happens again. What should ... Read More:

In The Wedding Planner Jennifer Lopez acts as a woman who sets up weddings for other people but who is very cynical about the
ceremony herself (we find out why during the course of the film). She falls in love with Matthew Mcconaughey who is engaged to one of her friends and tries to do the right thing by helping them to get married. The Wedding Planner, itself, tries to be an old-fashioned movie from fifty or so years ago set in modern times. It succeeds in doing this but there are big errors in the script (in one instance the characters are delivered some news that in real life I'm sure would have left people speechless but in the storyline they accept with nonchalance).Nevertheless,Mcconaughey and Lopez are engaging enough to make this a film worth seeing.

Amazon kept recommending this DVD to me coz I bought a couple of cheech & chong. The only similarity was the topic; there was no comparison in the quality of the comedy. There wasn't an original idea in the whole film just weakly made pale imitations of much better films such as Nice Dreams and Animal House. On its own merits its ok and worth a watch if really you like stoner comedy, but don't expect a classic.

I can't believe that no-one has yet reviewed this film it came out in a fanfare of publicity and has been out on DVD for ages. Well here we go - this is a must-see for dog-owners.The film's premise is how a number of dogs are prepared for a dog show in America. The dogs aren't the problem - it is their kooky owners who range from the suburban anally retentive to the southern state in-bred red-necks. The humour is subtle, cruel and very funny and the film is a delight from beginning to end. Particularly hilarious is the ribald comments made by the American judge of the show to his British counterpart, as the dog's undercarriage is checked, for example,"You don't see that on Carnaby Street!" A really delightful film that will stand up to many viewings - warmly recommended.
