While there were some things about this series that had me pulling my hair out! I actually did enjoy this series. I am really into the Tudor history and I do know my fact from fiction. The part about Princess Margaret Tudor marrying with a Portuguese King left me thinking "Why OH Why"! Maybe eventually TV producers will listen and actually stick to fact. It seems crazy not to when the facts are just as exciting! It is sad that this has taken some of the gloss away from what is actually a really well made series.
Take it for what it is, there is still some historical ACCURACY in there and I like the fact they actually gave a mention to Henry's sisters, who both had amazing lives and are largely left out of all Tudor films completely ... Read More:

and that says a lot after SCARFACE. But I have never seen anyone play a blind man as well as Pacino. The empty stare, most actors can't do it. Although a remake (the original is an Italian made film) this is a GREAT drama and fully deserves the Oscars it got! Actually worth 6 stars!

I can't believe this fim has so many positive reviews, I tried to sit through it last night and gave up after an hour.
If you're expecting someting in the Reservoir Dogs mould you'll be sorely dissapointed, beacuse the film is just dire. And as for the use of language, when you can actually understand what they're saying it's just annoying.
Jimmy the Saint's love story is also a completely unecessary addition to the film, and only adds to its cheesiness.
Building on the success of the first Librarian film this second installment sees Noah Wyle reprise his role as Flynn Carson "The Librarian"
Like the previous film this one is exceedingly fun, combining a large amount of action and comedy. Along the way 'Carson' (Wyle) is joined on his mission by another archaeologist 'Emily' (Anwar) and a tribesman 'Jomo' plus the occassional word of advise from 'Judson' (Newhart) and an old family friend 'Uncle Jerry' (Foxworth).
pursued by bad guys along the way this is a must for anyone who grew up watching Indiana Jones. and as a bonus watch out for the 3rd installment in December 08'

Although this movie is short enough to have been in it's entirety on ONE side; it has been SPLIT in half and you have to flip the disc over to view the whole movie.
The ONLY advantage this DVD has over the US/Canada version (which is in it's entirety on ONE side) is that this DVD is Anamorphic Widescreen (whereas the US/Canada version is NON-Anamorphic Widescreen).
This is a great series, OK may not be 100% accurate, but close enough to history to not make it a farce. This shows the rise to power of one of the most well known monarchs is British history, and his war against the Catholic church..... The whole cast is superb, with the 3 main factions (the Boleyn's, the Catholics and the Kings supporters) well portrayed. The first series is quite heavy on the sex, however as Henry was supposed to be a very virile king, I suppose that can be justified. My one small criticism is that sometimes it feels like they put so much in for shock value. The whole series is great in HD and although I watched the whole series on BBC, bought it on Blu-Ray as it is definitely one I will watch again.

I first watched this film when I was about fourteen and have vivid, although somewhat cringy memories of re-enacting with my friend, the method which the alien body snatchers use to identify the real humans, i.e, pointing and screaming like a fog horn. Not my finest hour, but my point is, that this film left a lasting impression and watching it again recently made me realise how scary it really is.
You might well know the plot line, since there are so many re-makes, but to sum up: Family move to army base- soon people start acting strangely, or are taken away screaming into the night. The body snatchers are here and they want you!
One of the eeriest moments is when the female lead, Marty's younger brother does a picture at nursery and it ... Read More:

Michael Weston (Jeffrey Donovan) is a spy and very good at it. Or at least he was. One day, while in the middle of a covert mission, he is burned. For us civilians, that means fired. Barely managing to escape with his life, he passes out and wakes up in Miami with no money and no idea what happened. Worse yet, Miami is him home town, and that means dealing with his Mother (Sharon Gless) who he hasn't seen in years.
Michael is determined to figure out who did this to him and why so he can get back to work. So while he slowly gathers pieces of that puzzle, he picks up odd jobs as a private investigator. When he needs back up (which is often), he teams up with ex-IRA weapons smuggler (and ex-girlfriend) Fiona (Gabriella Anwar) and friend and former ... Read More:
