First watched this on the tv and was hooked. Excellent costumes and had me in stitches. Gave this a 4 only due to missing out the part where Amanda is asked to sing which on the tv she sang 'down town'. I believe this made the witty comments afterward confusing for those who have only seen it on the DVD, I also believe it missed out the crucial first signs of Darcy's affection for Amanda. However I still enjoyed it and will definitely be watching it again

I thought this new BBC dvd was quite good - until near the end when Tess
and Angel are hiding in the empty mansion and we are suddenly confronted
with and orgy of nudity and sex. I think the BBC have lost the plot.
Thomas Hardy's text certainly does not call for such an exhibition.
I think the older versions available have more integrity and artistic
merit.

DVD : Quantum of Solace

Quantum of Solace

starring: Daniel Craig, Olga Kurylenko, Gemma Arterton, Judi Dench, Jeffrey Wright
directed by: Marc Forster

James Bond (Craig) sets on a mission to find out who is responsible for the death of his love in the sequel to Casino Royale.

Daniel Craig (Layer) reprises his role as the British agent and has a more accomplished role than in his previous outing. The character was very quiet and subtle but here he is more open and upfront, not to mention more talkative. This is the finest point of the film as the character is developing and viewers get to see the darker side of the hero and as this is a predecessor to all other Bonds, it shapes the character in exactly the right way.

Kurylenko (Max Payne) is a fantastic Bond girl. She looks the part, worn down by her past and carrying her own agenda. She is dark, feisty and mysterious, a great ... Read More:
