several tracks listed on the USA version have been left off this release e.g. all of Jeff Beck, some of Carlos Santana, some of John Mayer.
The layla performance - title 2 on dvd 2 - is inaccessible via regular menus - how stupid & annoying. If I buy a music DVd I don't expect to have to play childish hide n seek games with it to find the songs.
The previous reviewers are not wrong, this is fabulous.
There are 34 tracks, amounting to just over 2 hours of great music. OK not all of them are going to be to everyones taste, but most are so good you can't really complain.
I love Paul Weller doing the late Billy Prestons "Will It Go Round In Circles" in 1997. I didn't know it was a Billy Preston song until long after I first saw this Paul Weller Performance. Immediately following this is Sharleen Spiteri belting out a fantastic version of "Surrender" in 1999. Again I've never heard this song before, and I don't know anything by Texas but this is great. She puts everything into this performance and you can't ask more of an artist than that.
One of the Christmas presents I got for Christmas that pleased me the most to receive was "To Tulsa and back", a backstage film of JJ Cale on tour until I tried to I tried to play it on my laptop ... and it didn't work. The screen went blank. I was despondent - I wasn't sure whether I'd screwed up the DVD player, or the DVD was duff or it was a DVD region thang. So I tried another DVD with a different region and it only did the pictures - no sound could be tempted forth from the speakers... I even ventured into the evil world of Media Player and that told me I had copyright issues with the DVD. So I looked on the internet as one does these days and eventually came across someone suggesting that I should change the system date. Which I thought seemed ridiculous ... Read More:

I've just spent 15 months out of the country, and one of the things I wished I had with me was this DVD, just to keep my sanity... An excellent DVD full of great artists. Albeit too brief performances by some, a great selection. Well worth every penny.

Some great bands and wicked performances on here, but it is let down by absolutely terrible sound. I'm not sure who's fault this is but it sounds like it's been mixed by a first year Audio Engineering student.
On the Morrisey track you can't even hear the bass! If this was the case of the original performance why would they have put it on the DVD!?
It's only enjoyable if you love the bands. Catatonia, Radiohead and Supergrass are standout performances.

Splendid, multi-camera video footage; sound quality that I'm used to finding only at the recording console; previously unreleased songs, and a fresh take on some old favourites.
This is a performance no true Cale fan should miss; it's an excellent introduction for those who ask "Who is this guy?"; it shows the scholar some useful insight into Cale's guitar style.
Beyond all that, it shows Cale's sense of humour, both in the way he tolerates Leon Russell's almost canine vocal harmonies in the track "Going Down", and in his relfective recitation "Ten Easy Lessons". This is the way some people have waited half a lifetime (or more) to see Cale.
Don't just take my word for all this - buy it! This is a superb insight ... Read More:
