Movies like this, I find very relaxing and very enjoying to watch. I do have an almighty interest in hurricanes, tornados, volcanos, Tidle Waves, Thunderstorms, anything with a nature's attitude in it. I do know abit about each of these topics/subjects, but i do watch these movies, watch documentaries, and have done when i was growing up. read books, didnt have the internet then but i havent done much research on the net yet. Anyways.. Sorry, nevermind all that lol. I watched the Hi-Def version of this last weekend on Sky Movies. I don't know how they do it, but the picture quality's as good as a modern film (yes, The Lost Boys is 21 years old!). One of my favourite all times and it's added straight to my wish list! >>More Details

I only saw this film the other day so watching it out of era context may have been strange but actually, no, it is still very relevant. The excellent acting of RDJ and James Spader made for uncomfortable watching, especially knowing now what was to come for RDJ in his personal life. The last time I saw this film it was about 1990. This fantastic 80's film seemed to have disappeared into obscurity and any google search for it just brought up that rubbish Britney Spears effort by the same name, so I was over the moon to come across it again on Amazon. I watched the film again recently and was pleased to see that in almost 20 years it has not lost any of its original magic. Brilliant and simple storyline (read other reviews for a full description of what the film is about), set to a fantastic music score. Joe Seneca is excellent as Willie Brown and all the actors give top performances. I love this film and it provoked some poignant memories watching it again.
