This is exactly what you would expect of a "Chipmunk" film. Lots of hilarious slapstick humour, silly, but predictable storyline, plus the enigmatic, if somewhat over-egged Chipmunk voices.
Storyline, of this mixed real film and CGI, is basically of an aspiring songwriter, struggling to write any kind of song, which is where Alvin, Theodore and Simon come in. From there the hilarities start and the predictable plot unwinds.
Not really for "adults", but for all kids everywhere, this is a great film. We put it on in the car for the kids whilst we were driving on holiday, and there was blissful peace from the back, apart from the regular bouts of laughter.

I adored A Cinderella Story not only for Chad Michael Murray but it was a bittersweet romance and suited well for the infamous tale. When I heard there was a sort of sequel of it, I had to find out if it could beat the first. My verict? Not really. It's about Mary played by Selena Gomez being the maid for her evil stepmother who is a aging singer and her annoying stepsisters who's suck-ups to the poplaur girl in school. When the famous dancer returns played by Andrew Seeley, he offers everyone a chance to enter in his next dance video and sparks a intrest to Mary. They sort of meet until the black and white ball where they dance until tweleve, she leaves something behind and he must find the girl that captured his heart. It's very prejectable ... Read More:

When I first heard of this film, I thought 'Yeah it just looks like another cheesy american film', however when I finally saw it at my friends house I was plesantly suprised. Not only was it hilarious at nearly every point, it was a well thought-out plot, and an all-round clever and entertaining film. I really do recommend this to anyone who enjoys relevant comedy. A brilliant film.

its not as good as anchorman - I found this tiresome in places and not knowing much about the culture surrounding NASCAR racing - some of the stereotypes i might not have fully appreciated. I found mosat of the characters to be obnoxious and dimwitted - However, maybe that is the main joke of the film?
Anyway the characters were annoying and the only saving grace is that there are some funny moments - mostly centred around Ferrels drunken father figure and Sacha Bara Cohens french driver.
Cohens comic talents were not utilised to the best they could have been - the director seems to think the biggest joke they can get out of him is a ridiculously over the top french accent.
I can't believe that no-one has yet reviewed this film it came out in a fanfare of publicity and has been out on DVD for ages. Well here we go - this is a must-see for dog-owners.The film's premise is how a number of dogs are prepared for a dog show in America. The dogs aren't the problem - it is their kooky owners who range from the suburban anally retentive to the southern state in-bred red-necks. The humour is subtle, cruel and very funny and the film is a delight from beginning to end. Particularly hilarious is the ribald comments made by the American judge of the show to his British counterpart, as the dog's undercarriage is checked, for example,"You don't see that on Carnaby Street!" A really delightful film that will stand up to many viewings ... Read More:

In Ricky Bobby we have another of those classic quote-laden wide-eyed Will Ferrell performances that essentially carry the films on their backs. The plot of Talladega Nights is rubbish, sports-movie-by-numbers trash, but the comedy is golden. Low on brains, high on stupid, one-liner trailer-trash-isms courtesy of Ferrell and John C. Reilly, who's really starting to establish himself on the comedy scene. The pair's chemistry is undeniably strong here. Just two big stupid hairy men making fools of themselves. Sacha Baron Cohen's a tad much as the French competition, but the rest of the cast provide solid back up. If you're a fan of Anchorman... well, if you're a fan of Anchorman, you've no doubt already seen this. Wasn't it good?

I bought this movie for my 2 girls aged 2yrs & 4yrs having read the reviews already posted on Amazon and it absolutely deserves the 5 star rating. It was lovely to have a movie with no 'mildly frightening scenes' like many other kids movies as my two find them terrifying. The chipmunks are adorable, the singing is cute, the storyline is simple yet engaging and we've watched it every day since we got it with no signs of tiring of it! Oh, and my husband thinks the blu-ray format is fab, whatever that means!

Good film - but you need to buy the US release to avoid the censorship cuts. US version is unfortunately region coded. What is the point of region coding older films apart from being able to charge more in the UK? In fact what is the point of region coding period. It can only encourage piracy.
