I got this film for christmas last year and, as a result i was pleasantly surprised at how different it was to all the other musicals. I first watched it as soon as i got it (for an hour); as it went on i thought how bored i was, i think this was because the story seemed to go on and on etc. I wasn't understanding at all what was happening; i realise that i am younger than most people that watch it ,but all my friends seemed to watch it and agree with my opinion of it. I am a big fan of musicals, however i am not a big fan of this one!
This film took me back to being a child - I remember having the album and going to see it at the pictures. I bought it for my daughter who is 8 thinking she might like it. She loves it to bits and would watch it every night if she could. I too enjoyed watching it again. The songs are catchy and the dance routines are fab. Definately deserves its place in the top 100.I would say to those miserable people who have given it a bad review - if you hated it that much you should have stopped watching! Get a life!

Bought this film and wasnt sure what to expect from it. Watched it with friends and we thought it was a good "laugh out loud" film. Some films state they are comedies and when you watch them they can be very disappointing - not this one, appeals to all ages too. Cant go wrong really for £2.98!

I'll never understand why this film walked away with all the awards it got and was so hyped. PULP FICTION does not live up to any such expectations. Supposedly cool it is just senseless banter most of the time, not really funny but utterly ridiculous, with sudden explosions of violence. If you're looking for a black comedy try THURSDAY - a supposed copy of the Tarantino-style, but far better than anything he made.

I first saw this film 30 years ago when I was 18 and it still hasn't lost one ounce of it's appeal. If you didn't see it then buy this bargin NOW!

Aside from the slow-motion gun battle in which the young boy is listening to "Somewhere Over the Rainbow," almost all of the `Action' in this film is gratuitous rubbish. The metaphors are so blatant that they might as well be highlighted in neon. Even the plot itself is wildly implausible and full of gaping chasms. So in the end, the one thing that earned this film four stars was Nicolas Cage's incredible acting.
Where were you on September 11th, 2001? A little over three years ago, the world stood still as people from across the world witnessed one of the bloodiest and most horrific attacks on American soil by a foreign power. Images of the airplanes slamming into the World Trade Center towers, survivors trapped inside jumping to the ground below, flames rising from the wreckage of the Pentagon, and brave police and fire department workers searching the piles of debris for the remnants of their fallen comrades are ones that will forever be engraved in the minds of the courageous men and women of this beautiful country. And as the nation enters into the public debate of who is the better man to lead the United States in this tumultuous time in our history, one has to question whether ... Read More:

This movie makes a lot of promises all along, but does not manage to materialize them.
Despite some special effects (not all so special in fact), stunting, violence, a bit of glamour, pseudo-cyber links, it does not manage to provide a convincing result.
Some of the characters are well played (namely Ginger (Halle Berry) and Stanley (Hugh Jackman)), John Travolta comfortably plays his proven and apparently preferred tough guy role. But that is not enough.
A movie where people are killed and then resurrected, that leaves the audience wondering who actually end up enjoying the big bucks (the real guy or someone else who had been impersonating him since a not well defined time of the movie), cannot be convincing.
Besides, the reference to terrorism seems out of place ... Read More:

I liked this film when I first saw it and now I have changed my mind with repeated watching. Like all Tarantino films, the dialogue between characters is unnatural. It feels like one person talking to themselves. The characters all talk in this faux intelligent geeky way about tiny things and there is no discernable differences between outlook or delivery of the characters words. The story doesn't hang together very well and the use of celebrity cameos is just celuloid cronyism. I fell for the hype, save your time and money and don't buy into this trash. Travolta is a fake, Jackson can't act, QT is annoying, Thurman is lovely, Keitel is cheesey and not at all hard like he makes out. There is too much wrong with this film to call it a classic. It's silly. At least Tom Cruise isn't in it, I might have given ... Read More:
