This season is full of amazing episodes from the wonderful "Cause and Effect", to the cliffhanger "Times arrow part 1" to one of my personal favourites "Disaster". The qaulity of the story-telling in this season is never bettered (although seasons 6 and 7 are close) with great character development and inventive plots. I have all the seasons of TNG on DVD but this is the season I come back to time and time again.

What people have failed to review here is what a poor season no 3 actually was. The show was in big trouble when it's 3rd season came around.Creator gene roddenberry had left the show after being promised that star treks 3rd season would have the top tv slot of the week,7pm on a mon night, the execs at nbc changed their minds and bumped trek to fri nights at 10pm when its core audience kids n teenagers would be either in bed or out partying. Rodenberry left in disgust and most of the briliant writers who had worked on season 1 and 2 left also, along with the brillaint D.C fontana who by no coincidence produced 1 last script for the show which ends up one of seasson 3's best eps! NBC brought in freddy frieberger a staple of western shows in the 60;s who ... Read More:

Well, i too was a bit worried when i heard that this project was in the offing, but i was also excited, having grown up with the original series and been a fan for years.
Having watched the old series time and time again, the one thing that jarred with it was the special effects, as they were very much of their time, and i always wished that they could be updated, much as the BBc have done with some of the classic Doctor Who DVD releases.
I have to say that the effects really add a depth to the original show and complement it. They do not detract from Star Trek in any way at all.
I cannot see how people can complain about losing the grainy old stock shots, which were always the same for every episode, and the wobbly-ness of the Enterprise's motion through ... Read More:

The original motion picture was a decent attempt at converting star Trek from a dated TV series into a cinematic movie. The story of the first film is a very interesting one and it is well acted, produced and directed. New characters are brought in and old ones retained. The fact that Kirk is much older is delt with much more than in the follow up movies. This film has many good points but is not exciting by any means and is not a film that warrants watching over and over again.

I wanted to give 0 stars, but it didn't work, this is why I give one!! But it doesn't deserve it!!!
This is simply the worst I have ever seen from Disney and in general in the cartoon section!!
The movie is set in the early 20th century, but the characters act like they would be from the 21st century!! They are also not nicely drawn and the whole story is so horrible, you better watch it yourself to understand what I talk about!!
This is a DVD I have seen only once and happily will sell it if someone is up to it!!

I love this film, I think it is the best of the star trek movies. I have seen it more times than any other and plan to watch it again and again. Love it.

Im sure everyones stoned in this, or maybe im just paranoid?. Have another look, not just because its still a solid nervy and edgy 70's paranoia film, but look at Donald Sutherlands face as he smirks alot and tries not to laugh in the first half. Marvel in awe as Leornard Nimoy hams it up with a turtleneck and large powerful demmanding sideburns. Geoff Goldblum's just plain eyeball weird anyway. Watch out for people carrying hairy pods around. You have been warned. Ssshhh....i feel a bit tired and flakey

`The Voyage Home' was the first of the Star Trek films that I ever saw and although I do still really enjoy the film I do not consider it to be as good as I once did. This film is the conclusion of the storyline started in `Wrath of Khan' and continued in `Search for Spock'. In this film the crew are returning to Earth to answer for their actions when an alien probe of unknown origin shuts down all technology on and around Earth. Studying the probes signals the crew discover it is searching for whales and they must travel back in time to acquire some humpbacks whales.
This is the most light-hearted and funniest of all the Star Trek films and although I once thought this was the best of the films my estimations of it have dropped somewhat recently. While it is still very funny and somewhat entertaining ... Read More:
