Sarah Michelle Gellar (Buffy) stars as Kathryn, a manipulative woman who places a bet with her step brother Sebastian that he can't get the principal's stepdaughter Annette into bed.
Based on Choderlos de Laclos' novel, Cruel Intentions brings a dark and sexy tale of lies, manipulation and romance to our screens in a dramatic and diverse way, with superb acting and excellent direction and acting.
The lead three actors, Gellar, Phillippe (Flags of our fathers) and Witherspoon (Walk the line) are all tremendous in their respective roles and do the plot justice by giving sexy and sophisticated performances in one of the sexiest dramas of the 90's.
The plot is very character driven, which was helped along by these great ... Read More:

personally. i haven't read the book but just watching the film was good enough, alot of people are saying the film doesn't represent the book. but alo of people aren't saying about the actors and how they did a great job acting in this film, it must of been hard to get to know these characters considering the torment they go through, i personally think they actors done a great job, i personally tink you should watch it and see what you think before you read the book.

I'm not a huge fan of Russell Crow (not a great way to start a review on one of his films I know!) but watching this on TV the other night has altered my opinion!
This film is a strange one, set in the future where the personalities of criminals have been merged into one Virtual reality criminal called Sid 6.7 (Russell Crow). He is used to train police officers in Virtual Reality so they can be more capable in the real world. They begin testing the programme on Criminals, one being an ex cop called Parker (Densel Washington)
However, Sid is so advanced that he is able to grow, learn and evolve. Assisted by his crazy creater, his programme is downloaded into a robot that looks completely human, but is virtual indesructable as it is able to repair itself be ... Read More:

I suspect that Sherilyn Fenn got her break with David Lynch's stunning TV series , Twin Peaks. I certainly developed a crush for her during the series and so, some 20 years, a house a wife and 2 kids later, I thought I'd see what it was about her. Well, she's a platinum blonde in this and, to be honest, her acting isnt that great. However, she has a fragile beauty and a petite figure. The storyline is paper-thin, the soundtrack is a typical mix of sexy(?) sax and B grade rock. It looks pretty good, but the story is trite and the eroticsm by today's standards is very coy. There is swearing which probably denotes its 18 rating rather than anything you might see. Its back to Twin Peaks for me!

Nearly twenty years old.
Not much of a story, but the matches are very good indeed. James Earl Jones plays the coach of a team setting out to take on five of Korea's best in a sort of mixture of martial arts.
There are loads of emotional, weepy and thoroughly soppy moments, but nevertheless it is a film that maintains ones interest throughout.
The Koreans are a joy to watch. I certainly would not have wanted to go up against them.
A very good effort.
A must-see for any fan of tae kwon do.
