Having really enjoyed the first season of criminal minds I decided to get season 2 without seeing it on TV first (sadly they don't show it on channel 5 here in the UK anymore). I'm so glad that I did. It is billiant. Just like the first series it has a mix of interesting storylines and further character development from the first season. I enjoyed every episode of this season. Season 2 wasn't without it's shocks either, in the episode 'The Boogeyman' the identity of the UNSUB was absolutley shocking and I never saw it coming. I cannot recommend this season highly enough, it's fantastic. I hope season 3 will be released in the UK very soon. >>More Details

I am assuming that if you are thinking of buying the boxset, you have seen a few episodes and want to see more. This is exactly what I did! Do it - the only thing you will regret is not getting it sooner. I bought it a month ago and I now prefer this to CSI - the characters in Criminal Minds have more individual depth and the storylines are more involving and intriguing. The twists and turns through out the series climax together for the cliffhanger in the final episode. You won't see it coming, and I promise you, you'll be ordering Series 2 straight after watching it! There are 15 episodes in series 1 (including the pilot) so when you think about it, it's about Â£1 per episode. BARGAIN! >>More Details

I'm not sure why this film has bad reviews. True its not a blockbuster. However Streisands performance is wonderful, the songs are unforgettable and it has a charm that is quite simply, red wine, chocolates and a log fire.It gives a great insight into days gone by. There are some wonderful one liners that epitomise the wonderful Jewish sense of humour. This is to films what sausage and mash is to comfort food. >>More Details

I'm not sure why as it certainly dons't appeal to me but my son - just turned two - will sit and watch this constantly if you let him! He finds it hilarious - he also has a blanket like Elmo and has taken to kissing it 'like Elmo' and can recite most of what Elmo says. I heartily recommend both series of this remarkably fine comedy. You can get the details from the many other approving reviews here on the Amazon site, so I'll confine myself to mentioning a few extra points. First, the acting is unusually good. The ensemble playing is strong. The characters have real depth. It's unfair to single anyone out for special praise in such a fine cast, but I can't resist drawing your attention to three standouts. Callum Blue's hilarious portrayal of the flawed, feckless, vulnerable, lovable Mason just gets better and better. Right up there with it is Cynthia Stevenson's perfectly judged, evolving performance as the perplexed, grieving, stoical, bereaved Joy Lass. And who could forget Christine Willes' ... Sadly this show about a teenager - whose life was abruptly ended courtesy of a toilet seat falling from a deorbiting space station, but who was picked to be a 'Grim Reaper' - didn't make it beyond the second series before network dolts decided to pull the plug. This is was a real shame: Ellen Muth's turn as the edgy, disenchanted, disoriented teenage heroine (who is in no respect happy about her own death and new obligations and duties as a reaper) is a tour de force... but, as this second season helps to establish, the show isn't only about Muth's central performance. I would also advise you get the D.V.D as well because then you will see the stunning performances from Mandy Patinkin and Brnadette Peters. They will always belong together. This is one of those genius crossover pieces, made for children but with such witty dialogue and wordplay it is probably more often rewatched by adults. So if you want masked men, giants, scheming princes, cunning sicillians, spanish swordsmasters, six-fingered men, swooning damsels, cynical miracle workers, depraved torturers, speech-challenged priests, not to mention, rodents of unusual size, this is the film for you.
