I loved this film so much that I felt compelled to read the book on which it is based - and, to my surprise, the film turned out to be almost better!

I found this series rather disappointing. Whilst the first 3 (especially the 3rd season) were all tremendous and series 4 was thoroughly enjoyable this one is much darker. As a personal preference I like a big dollop of humour in buffy and in this season there's a distinct lack of humour. Some of the episodes are great but I found Dawn so irritating in this that she marred a great deal of it and the misery of Joyce Summers' death, although portrayed very well (particularly interesting is listening to Joss Whedon's commentary), made for a rather dismal season. Glory is a great villain and Spike's character is really starting to develope but it lacks the sparkle, fun and much of the shock factor of previous seasons.

This film faithfully follows the story of Dodie Smith's beautiful and sometimes painful novel, but cannot capture its magic or the lyrical narrative which is so important (and what is really successful) about the novel. Read the book first, then enjoy this film for the pictures!

When Joss was away the writers got to play, and unfortunately rode off on personal hobbyhorses such as James Bond-ish covert units and a "non-dark" boyfriend for Buffy. Add to these a Frankenstein rip-off and you get a mish-mosh of a season with such a confused arc that the last episode seems to exist just to say "Don't worry, we'll have more interesting storylines next season". That said, bringing back Spike and Anya and introducing Tara more than makes up for the cast members lost and makes possible most of the main threads in the arcs of the final three seasons. Making her way through this soup, Sarah Michelle Gellar must have decided it was "sink or swim" and gave her best overall performance of any season. Even this topnotch effort couldn't strike any sparks ... Read More:

I wouldn't watch this film again so it is very average.Having said that if you're thinking of becoming an air hostess or like seeing sexy women wearing colourful costumes or you like Mike Meyers sense of humour ( I don't - he was austin powers - I didn't like that either! )then perhaps The View From The Top is for you.
Overall an average film with above average actors in it:gwyneth paltrow, candice bergen, mark ruffalo, christina applegate and others.
Plane spotters will love the photography of the planes flying above the wilderness.

"Summer Catch" is a baseball movie. Local boy Ryan Dunne (Freddie Prinze, Jr.) has made the Chatham A's in the Cape Cod Summer League where he pitches for Coach John Schiffner (Brian Dennehy). This is Ryan's last chance, having ruined two earlier ones, but he has a fear of failure and has been affected by the recent death of his mother. But "Summer Catch" is also a romance movie, where Ryan is smitten by Tenley Parrish (Jessica Biel). He sees her getting out of a pool while he is cutting her father's lawn and if you did not get the message that Biel is no longer playing Mary Camden on "7th Heaven," this moment will help persuade you. Of course, he is from the wrong side of the tracks as far as her father is concerned. Sound familiar yet?
2004's The Alamo is one of the most undeserved flops of recent years (and possibly inflation-adjusted as big a disaster as Heaven's Gate). Bad timing may account or some of it, as America's image went from besieged victims to bloody aggressors (certainly it was barely even released outside the US), but the film's sombre, mournful tone is probably more to blame - beginning with the dead bodies of the defeated defenders, there's a sadness and inevitability to the film that's the complete antithesis of the feelgood destruction-and-revenge of Pearl Harbor. Even Carter Burwell's haunting low-key score is more a lament than the broad action scoring you might expect. The script is well crafted, the characterisation surprisingly strong and the comparative absence of cgi pays dividends with a level of verisimilitude ... Read More:
