It's said that a reviewer asked Vadim why he opened the film with the free-fall strip. He said "Plenty of people who don't care about science fiction will watch it just to see Jane Fonda nude, so I put that at the start so they didn't have to sit through the rest!"
Just to say that anyone who did walk out as soon as the credits had finished floating over Fonda's skin would have missed an erotic treat as well as a comic one.

I confess I never saw the amazon page for this movie since I bought my old videotape copy in a shop when amazon likely didn't exist yet. But I came across it and just wanted to check why such a humorous, funny, hilarious and brilliant movie was rated so poorly. And I found out.
Found out that my shoes smell of wee. Didn't know that, double checked and still nothing. Somehow I don't feel insulted, just surprised how a comment like that is not against policies.
Anyway, back to the topic. It's an alternative, unconventional and even daring movie that can entertain even using just one audible word: "Non!", unpredictably said, or stated, by somebody that's not supposed to speak at all in real life. But this is not real life, ... Read More:

The Constellation lacks much footage of Jodorowsky's films; apart from the Holy Mountain and El Topo, it is mysteriously scant, lacking for instance Santa Sangre or the Rainbow Thief. Also, like most work on Jodorowsky, it spends too much time on Dune, a film he never made, rather than on those he did. However, what makes it interesting is seeing the experience of Louis Mouchet as he undergoes Jodorowsky's 'psycho-magic' sessions and finds some sort of self-understanding. It transforms the film from a mediocre documentary into a fascinating study of Mouchet himself - rather than of Jodorowsky. It's worth watching for that reason.
