well, i didnt think this was the best season yet. i think the 3rd season wins that title. it was good though. although the new woman Katherine, i'm not so sure of. and i found her storyline to be even less believable than the Applewhite storyline in season 2. i do love this show though, but at times i found myself thinking "how many more lies and schemes can these people get up to?!"
well, the best episode in season 4 was the tornado episode, it was a cracker! and again this season, Lynette and Tom have been fab! and Orson has just got better and better, when he and Bree were staying at Susan's after the tornado, and Susan told him about his naked sleepwalking, well he did something that i just kept rewinding to and laughing my ... Like series 1, this series starts off with suspence and action right from the starts as Susan is still held hostage by a young-weilding Zach Young. All new mysteries happen in this series - as well as the unravveling of some older ones - right from the start. I found this series perhaps even more addictive than the first series, often watching four episodes at a time because it has that "just one more episode" feel to it because you just HAVE to know what happens next.
We are introduced to a new Housewife in this series, Betty Applewhite, a women harboring a deep secret and keeps one of her sons locked in the basement.
Things are particularly hard for Bree in this series as she has to deal with both alcoholism and her ... Read More:

Having only caught the odd episode of Desperate Housewives when it aired on Channel 4, I remember enjoying it and decided to buy the first series on DVD - and its even better then I remembered.
The four desperate housewives are the main protagonists in the series. Bree, who on the outside seems to be the perfect housewife with the perfect family, while actually her marriage is in trouble and her kids are rebelling against her. Gabby, the ex-model who married for money, not for love and has to resort to sleeping with her 17 year old gardener to find happiness. Susan, a single mother who gets along very well with her daughter but is constantly plagued by troubles with men as she tries to find love. And Lynette, the only happily married ... Read More:

I am quite new to Desperate Housewives [believe it or not] and have never actually caught any of the shows on TV.
I borrowed Season 1 from a mate and really got into it.
I bought Season 2 & 3 myself and I must say up until now,Season 3 is the best in my opinion.
I loved the whole Edie/Carlos flirtation, the doomed Gabby/Victor romance and Susans usual dithering between blokes.[Ahhhh I felt sorry for that english bloke Ian but that episode with his parents amused the life out of me]
I'm also pleased that Mrs McClusky featured a lot more this series.I always knew she had potential and if you haven't seen this season I won't spoil it but I will never look at chest freezers again in the same light!
I look forward to Season ... Read More:

This has nothing to do with desperate housewives and is nothing like desperate housewives. The only similarity in the actress who's name isn't even Bree. I love desperate housewives but i had to turn this off before it even ended. It is very slow and mundane and the plot doesn't seem to be going anywhere. I have no idea why they decided to call it what they did.

Based on the best-selling feminist novel by Louise J. Kaplan, The Times newspaper reviewed this as "An elegant, dazzling, provocative film" All these points are true, but certainly need qualification.
The salacious title may suggest a knockabout sex romp, but if you buy it on that basis you'll be terribly disappointed. In reality this is an art house movie, bringing with it many recognisable traits of that genre, both good and bad.
The story centres on a high-powered female lawyer played - for the most part convincingly - by Tilda Swinton. The themes dealt with as the film unfolds are control, sexual desire, self-doubt, sibling relationship and self-destruction.

Michael Keaton does a great job of acting in this role. He plays an intelligent psychotic killer. By far one of his best performances. I could actually believe him as a sociopath. Andy Garcia delivers a good performance as a father who will stop at nothing to save his sons life. But his acting does not come up to the same standard as Mr. Keaton's in this movie.
The movie is about a father who is trying to save his son's life. His son is dying of cancer and needs a bone marrow transplant. But we learn at the begining of the movie that there are no donor's that match. Garcia, as a police officer, and the boys father illegally breaks into the FBI's computer in order to use their resoures to find a compatible donor. And he does, in the form of an inmate played ... The titles list the cast in order of appearance, and the first person listed is "naked woman", played by Palmer Lee Todd. This film starts as it means to go on, namely, it is somewhat sleazy. James Spader gets his kit off too, but not in a full frontal sort of way (no surprise there).
The film isn't particularly special, which normally equates to three stars, but I am giving it an extra star because of the bunny mask. I found it hilarious.
PS I have watched this twice, but still cannot work out which of the party goers is David Duchovny!
