I bought this film only because of the good reviews. It would not normally be my type of thing. I shall not cover the film in detail as others have already done it better. However the film has stayed with me ever since. It is an incredible film, made all the better if you dont already know the story (which I didn't) and you dont know the ending (which I didn't). Buy this film but dont figure it out first. Let it run its course - you wont regret it!

Let me start with this i give i one star for a very unexspected ending, yet hardly an ending i like to see! so really if i could give it no stars i would! very unrealistic ending!!!, this is by far the worse horror movie, acually the WORSE MOVIE IV EVA SEEN!!! set pritty much in the one location, nothing even looks near to real, the scrip is a load of rambling, watching it becomes fustrating because they is no way people would take on the problems in the way the characters do! its just really a boring film, and for those going to buy it, i hate it so much i would give mine to someone for free!!! coz i wont be watching it again, PLEASE DO NOT BUY IT, a ture horror fan who likes action, gore, and excitment this is NOT for you.

This is a well acted, unusual storyline with a mother trying to give her broken family a good Christmas without them being aware of her own quite serious problems. It is not really a cheery film, more realistic and heartwarming.
Good for adults or older children, my 10 year old was able to understand it, but my 6 year old kept asking me what it all meant!

Absolutely one of THE BEST reflective, charming films ever. I can't believe this film hasn't gotten the recognition it deserves - but you know what? Who cares? If you don't watch this film then you are missing out.
Meet Joe Black is the story of Death taking a break from his usual duties and inhabiting the body of a recently deceased young man in order to learn of human experience.
The film covers three main story lines: a naive Angel of Death's (Brad Pitt) first experiences with simple pleasures such as peanut butter, Death's chosen guide's attempts to manage his business based on the principles on which he founded it, while coming to terms with his own mortality, and a romance between "Joe Black" and his guide's daughter, Susan (Claire ... I'm not usually into all monster related things, I like a bit more realism. However this was suprisingly good. Don't let the synopsis full you, it's not all about the monsters ... what's happening in the store is the most frightfull thing! I won't say who but one individual in the store causes gradual madness upon the rest of the survivors within the store.
You have to see it, I have never got so wound up due to a characters behaviour. It was like the question you ask to people who go into a dark room knowing full well that there is something in there, that kind frustration. I could have literally shot this person, haha. Anyway, watch and you will see ...
Other than this, there is the reason they are there. A huge mist has covered a town, ... Read More:

I watched Blood Simple for the first time a few weeks ago and really enjoyed watching Francis McDermott. She was fantastic in Fargo. Fargo was a great movie with all the right moves, excellent tone, bizarre characters, and a flatly affected but very strong pregnant cop played by McDermott. The Coen brothers are known for their slightly off-kilter films. Raising Arizona with Nicholas Cage and Holly Hunter was a very successful and entertaining quirky movie. Strange characters and bizarre situations can be very entertaining. The formula just doesn't work in Miller's Crossing.
Gabriel Byrne stars as a dirtball gangster. He's the slimey no. 2 to Albert Finney in Finney's massive gangster world. Finney is the real power in this ... Read More:

One of Stephen King's stories that focuses more on the interplay of the human species when placed under stress - in this case dealing with a group of people trapped in a supermarket when a menacing mist carrying some nasty inhabitants bears down on them provoking a variety of responses to the ensuing carnage. As for the feature - well it's pretty average, mild B-movie horror stuff not helped by a rather weak performance from the lead (Thomas Jane); the creatures are not very impressive and frankly the human psychology thing was done a whole lot better in King's 'The Storm of the Century' TV feature.
Darabont and King's discussion on the feature reveals that a proper ending had to be tagged on the film and at least they came up with something a bit different in that respect ... Read More:

I always scan people's comments who score low as this gives an indication of satisfaction or any flaws that others miss. Eastwood is my favourite actor and his talent as director with this offering has matched his acting.
On the cover it states that two Academies were awarded to Penn and Robbins, and during most of the film I couldn't see why...but this film builds it's intensity towards the end and although I'd guessed the perpetrator I still felt compelled by where it was leading you. I would agree with those who say characters lacked emotional depth as this was clear on Penn's character mainly, as Robbins' lack of depth was due to his past, understandable, but Penn showed little grief after his loss..? With some parents they can just "switch off" which I think was intended but there ... Read More:
