'Camp Rock' is what I would describe as a good substitute for the finished series of the 'High School Musical' films.
It ticks all the typical Disney movie boxes; shy, unpopular leading lady, hot crush (Joe Jonas), nasty blonde rich girl & a good ol' moral at the end.
'Camp Rock' is better than 'High School Musical 2' but not better than 1 & 3. I don't think there's a mere chance of any Disney musical having a hit bigger than 'Breaking Free' but 'Camp Rock' does have a few catchy tunes, the best being 'This Is Me' sung by Demi Lovato & Joe Jonas.
Ah, the Jonas Brothers. Three pop-rock virgins with a loyal tween fan base, teamed with Disney, a match made in heaven. The middle Jonas (Joe)has the most air time, the ... Read More:

Like the animation. Like the representation of the heroes, like the price, The Flash is a bit annoying (as if there HAS to be some comic content). The only thing I didn't really appreciate is the bad-guys. I don't know if they're regulars in the DC Universe but they're just some generic alien types without much 'charisma'. Stil, at £4, I would rather have it than not.

Spanish genre movies from the late 60' and 70's have a very good track record. (cannibal man, bell from hell, The blind dead movies) This however is the best of the lot. The plot involves a british couple on holiday in spain who decide to visit a remote island for some peace and quiet, only to find the local kids have begun killing all the adults, faced with life threatening danger from the kids the couple have to ask themselves 'who can kill a child'. Interestingly this predates stephen kings children of the corn by 10 years and I wonder if king had ever caught this film.
There are many reasons to reccomend this film. It is uncut in the west for the first time, the picture quality is great, as is the sound. The film itself is very well made and very ... Read More:

In this the final story in the Justice League series before it became Justice League Unlimited the story is as good as it gets. the Animation is first class the voice actors are at first rate. Ad to that the action is brilliant, a great story and a brilliant send off to an ecellent series. If you count Justice League as a seperate series that is.

This second season of the Justice League animated show improves greatly on the already very good first season with some truly excellent tales of adventure. As with the previous season this season includes twelve stories each of which is split into between two and three episodes per story. As well as this, this season also includes a single episode Christmas story which is actually surprisingly good for a seasonal episode.
If anything the writing for each of the adventures has greatly improved with some truly great stories being tolled this season, all of which are funny and exciting while still having space for some nice serious and touching moments. The animation is somewhat improved from last season but it is still sadly average for the most part. ... Read More:

This animated series following the adventures of DC's premier superhero team is set within the same DC Animated universe as Batman: The Animated Series, Superman: The Animated Series and The New Batman Adventures and includes some of the voice actors from those series.
This first season contains twelve adventures each split into two or three episodes apiece. All the episodes are or high quality with some great writing which is both funny and gripping. The voice acting is good throughout the season and although the animation itself is somewhat basic in places it is still passable.
Of the stories from this first seaosn the three part premier `Secret Origins' is my favorite with `War World' and `A Knight with Shadows' being other stories that ... Read More:

"Imagining Argentina" doesn't purport to be an accurate "history", but is a very representative, if brutal, description of what went on in many Latin American countries in the 1970's and 80's - and indeed, of what is currently going on in other places. I do think that it successfully captures the almost random nature of some of the violence meted out by unrestrained dictatorships. The device of clairvoyance around which the plot revolves needs a certain suspension of belief, but overall, the film works well. It is a warning to us all to be vigilant in our defence of constitutional rights. Interesting figures are given at the end for the numbers of disappeared in various countries, including Iraq. They'd be much worse now. After you've seen this, get hold of a copy of the subtitled ... Read More:
