Amazon kept recommending this DVD to me coz I bought a couple of cheech & chong. The only similarity was the topic; there was no comparison in the quality of the comedy. There wasn't an original idea in the whole film just weakly made pale imitations of much better films such as Nice Dreams and Animal House. On its own merits its ok and worth a watch if really you like stoner comedy, but don't expect a classic.

Im really enjoying watching this series, not too scary, not too blah, a bit
of humor thrown in makes it really good viewing.. What surprises me is that Alison and Joe are still married..! I cant imaging what it must be like for Alison's husband, it must be tough.. There are occasional signs of strain like for example arguments starting to escalate, one or both parties feeling bad.. Its good how they seem to diffuse tense situations by throwing in a bit of humor when things start to get heated.. Its interesting to see their children developing their mothers talents.. Medium is a great series and Patricia Arquette is a great lead actress. Allison DuBois, a medium who she plays, it totally believable as she is an ordinary mother with an ordinary home and life, who is capable of doing this amazing thing! Everyone, start watching it - it is great!

Much better than most of today's contemporary TV programs, this series has depth of character and it does not lose momentum through the first season.
The first DVD contains both the network version of the pilot and the extended version of the pilot. You can skip to the extended version which only has a couple of expanded scenes. I was really hoping for some of the characters in the pilot to make it into the regular episodes. I will not go through each episode so that you may have the fun of discovery. Great formula as Allison Dubois (Patricia Arquette) who has a gift since childhood of talking to the dead and getting physique vibes.
