New characters joining an existing programme can prove a problem. There is the worry that they will not fit in or that the dynamic of the show will be somehow diminished - so full marks to former rapper Ice-T for his blistering portrayal of super cool, street wise Detective Fin Tutuola, transferred into the existing team from Vice and teamed with the thrice married, cynical, witty and embittered John Munch (Richard Belzer). A double act made in heaven they spark off each other perfectly - sample dialogue;
Munch "Come on, you must have some dark secret?"
Fin (deadpan) "I'm a Republican".
The team of Benson and Stabler - single girl and married family man - continues to lead the investigative group, but other ... Read More:

Dont be put off by the rotten title or the ghastly cover. This is as good as comedy horror gets. I actually won this in a TV competition but I would have bought it as it received some pretty good reviews upon its release. Some of the gags will make you smile rather than laugh out loud but its a good film. Oliver Platt as the maniacal but well intentioned conservationist is the best on show, however running him a close second is Brendan Gleeson's slow witted sheriff. The two bounce of each other really well. The effects are good and its short running time ensures the next gag or thrill is just around the corner. At £2.98 this is a steal.
Buy it.

The second season of L&O SVU reached to the sky - well, the third did even better. It went to the orbit and started to beep. It is not an exaggeration. This is one of the toughest, most accurate and best interpreted cop series and its third season it purely unbelievable. If you are not yet familiar with the concept of Special Victims here is the definition of the competence of this elite squad:
Any child under 13 years of age who is the victim of any sex crime or attempted sex crime.
Any child under 11 years of age who is the victim of abuse by a parent or person legally responsible for the care of the child.
Any victim of rape (all degrees) or attempted rape (all degrees)
Any victim of Criminal Sexual Act (all degrees) ... Read More:

Personally, 'Law and Order SVU' is a lot better than the original
'Law and Order'. Instead of spending half of the show with cops and the second half with Attorneys, SVU spends all 40 minutes focusing on the special victims unit, made up of Elliot Stabler (Chris Meloni),
Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay), John Munch (Richard Belzer), and Captain Donald Cragen (Dann Florek), who you may have seen in early seasons of the original 'Law and Order'. This season contains 22 episodes, most as good as each other, also featuring a cliff-hanger finale, this season is well worth your money.

SVU season five has got to be my favourite season by far!
I got it on it's release date and it took me only one week to watch!
This season, we experience a few major changes to the show, the first being the depature of ADA Alexandra Cabot (who is suberbly written out in ep.4 "Loss", which is one of my favourite ever episodes!), and the introduction of ADA Casey Novak (Diane Neal), who is introduced in ep.5, and has proved to be as good, if not better, an ADA than her preceder.
This season is 10/10, no episode isn't worth watching and this is a must buy to all fans!
P.S. Incase some people are wondering, there are no subtitles (but all scenes are quite clear and easy to understand. Don't worry!)

After three seasons of improving and polishing their product, the creators of L&O SVU achieved in this fourth season the perfection. There is no weak spots in those 25 episodes and there is nothing that could be added or should be removed. Period. Usually, at that moment in a review, there is a "but". Well, in this case, there will be no "buts". This is a perfect show and a perfect cop drama. Period.
The principal cast remains the same as in the third season and all actors perform at their best. The creators took a wise decision to drop completely the topic of Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) dark secret from the past and this was a very good decision. The growing strains on marriage of Elliot Stabler (Christopher Meloni) and the first serious difficulties ... Read More:
