I really loved this series, Blink had to be the scariest episode ever but it was brilliant!!!!
I also enjoyed the bride, it was refreshing to see a companion give the Doctor a run for his money! It's definitely worth having the box set and I have watched the episodes over and over!
Sadly I never met the doctor till recently as I grew up in Africa, but am the biggest fan by far!

How can anyone find this movie funny? Maybe it is OK if you are a big fan of Wallace and Gromit, but if you are used to American movies such as Over the Hedge, it is dull, dull, dull. Nowhere near as good as Over the Hedge or Madagascar.
Everything starts with everyone in the town looking forward to a vegetable competiton, but that all changes when a few rabbits are on the loose, and Wallace is the Were-Rabbit (quite scary for youngsters) believe it or not. The veg competiton then turns into a big battle between Gromit, another dog Phillip, Lady Tottington and the Were-Rabbit (Wallace.) I thought the movie would bew abseloutely fantastic, but I found that I could not get a single laugh out of it. Do not buy, I recommend Over the Hedge ... Read More:

Ever since I can remember, I've wanted to be clever.
This was a good British story as it had nostalgia for the 80s and students at the time and particularly University Challenge.
It was awash with cliches the working class boy makes good and goes to university . he wants to be clever so dreams of going on university challenge. he fancies the posh bird but does not notice the bird that really fancies him.
he achieves his dreams that muffs it entirely. he goes into hiding but comes out to carry on his life and shuns the posh bird and gets the right bird.
A team must have sat down to make sure this film had all the right ingredients in all the right measure.
Excellent film, has Allen's paw-marks all over it, despite it being something of a new experience for him.
Since Lost In Trainslation, Johansson has not really lived up to her expectations and in Match Point she still struggles. Somehow I get the feeling that we're supposed to care for her character, but it just doesn't come off that way. She may be Allen's latest muse, the one her relies on to bring the light to his films, but he's had better certainly.
Rhys Meyers is excellent in that straight-ahead Queen's English speaking kind of way, while the rest of the cast don't really have a great deal to do. However Meyers and Johansson do at least have chemistry which is something that a lot of volatile on-screen affair seem to lack these days however ... Read More:

This film was canned by Mark Komode on Radio Five Live when it was released as possibly the worst film of the year. He says that about Pirates of the Carribean and low and behold a common theme is that Mackenzie Crook is in both!!!. I generally heed what Professor Komode says and I had no desire to see this film, until I came across it whilst channel hopping Sky Movies. What a delight and great late night entertainment however!!
I never really liked the Carry on type of films and found the innuendo pointless. This film has no innuendo it leaves nothing to the imagination and it is really a lads film. Saying that my wife laughed as much as I did.
The film follows the pranks and day to day activities of a number of guys who sell potatos. The two main ... Read More:

This was the best thing on TV throughout the entire Christmas holiday, possibly the entire year! This was a wonderful show, sweet and delightful with great humour. I laughed all the way through it! I was so impressed with all the performances, but Matt Lucas stood out especially. He was born to play Toad. He absolutely steals the show as he is spot on perfect. Mark Gatiss, Lee Ingleby, Bob Hoskins and all the cast were also perfect in their parts and were a joy to watch.
At first, I felt a little silly watching a "kid's" show (as our children are in their late teens/early 20s). But I realised very quickly, this was a production for everyone. Do not mistakenly think this is for kids. You will be missing out on a wonderful experience.
The film is OK, and probably undeserving of the ire in many of the reviews here, but it's not a patch on the series itself, which is one of the finest things ever to come out of the BBC.
To me, the Christmas special will always be the "true" LoG movie.

series 3 of the show moves away from the sketch like feel of the show and is more concentrated on certain characters, this works well on some levels while at the same time suffocates itself,in particular if you dont like one of the characters for example.
This series is again dark and funny in places but doesnt keep the quality flowing, not as good as series 2 but tidies itself up nicely when you reflect back on it.

An adult panto is not a novel idea as the odious Jim Davidson has produced a few but the League give it a new spin. The first half is sold to us as auditions for Legz Akimbo's Communo-Nativity .... it is really nothing of the sort! Actually what you get a few leftover scenes that have been harvested from the wastepaper bin.Not all the scenes seem to lead anywhere and its quite an undisciplined first act. Notice how the audience seem a bit underwhelmed and,to be fair, the League mention it in the commentary. (Act 1- 3 stars, just. Their poorest ever work.)
The second act is much better: big, brassy, camp and funny. As the panto plot kicks in the show picks up and the audience wakes up. Pauline, Mickey, Tubs and Edward make their appearances and despite the undergraduate level of the jokes ... Read More:

The league of gentlemen is a comedy show that delves into sketches but all is interlinked in the town of royston vasey and nearly all the parts are played by the cast of three talented lads, the show is dark in theme and runs along a narrative of sorts.
The show for me is mixed, some scenes are very funny and are borderline genius,i really mean that, then there are scenes that drag and arent that good, some of the characters are also a bit lame no matter what they do such as the two friends who spend time in a video store, the scene with the cave guide seems to last forever and is very poor indeed.
There is much to celebrate at the same time but the inclusion of some dross gives the show a jumbled feel,i havent seen season 2 but im hoping it builds on the potential that is clearly there.
