I've seen every episode of NCIS on DVD boxset. I first came to it on channel 5 when they were playing season 3 a couple of years back. Having enjoyed the first episode, I went and bought Season 1 & 2 on DVD, watched them and never looked back. Season 5 finished on FX a few weeks back (DVD boxset coming soon hopefully) and season 6 starts next year possibly March or April. This is a show for anyone as well as catering for those looking for something different to the normal police/detective dramas like Law and Order, CSI etc.

I started watching NCIS midway through season 3. I really enjoyed it so decided to get the season 1 box set. I'm glad I did. It is filled with action, excellent storylines and a wonderful cast. I have heard people compare this to CSI, this is nothing like CSI, it stands on it's own and shouldn't be put together with other crime shows. Highly recommended.

I normally don't go for Disney family movies like this, but I'm a sucker for a good switching places gimmick. Basically, the plot revolves around Jamie Lee Curtis (the single mom) and Lindsay Lohan (the stereotypically rebellious teenaged daughter) switching bodies for a day after eating some magical fortune cookies. No joke, that's the cause of it. I expected to leave a certain amount of my brain at the door when watching this, so I didn't let this affect my outlook on the rest of the movie. The film's biggest downfall is that the mom and daughter, after switching bodies, don't really encounter any major problems that the average family can relate to. I mean, the mother comes from an upper-middleclass background and makes $70 an hour as a Psychiatrist. ... Read More:

What is there to say except 'Oh My God'!! This series has to be one of the best yet. It brings an 'almost' shocking conclusion to the season 4 finale! The team comes closer together and we get more of an insight into Gibbs past life. The must see episode has to be 'Requiem'. This show is still as addictive as ever. As for the ending of the series, have a tissue at the ready.
If you enjoy any of the CSI type shows then this brings even more to the mix, if your already fan then you don't need me to tell you its a must have!

A friend of mine bought me this box set when I was worried about getting a job with my somewhat unconventional dress sense. He told me to 'keep an eye out for Abby'. I soon found out he was talking about Abby Sciuto, the Goth forensic scientist.
Now, don't get me wrong, I am addicted to NCIS for reasons other than Abby (namely - the interaction between the characters is fantastically scripted, the plots are genius, and each and every one of the characters have very unique points that set them apart from the other identikit crime show teams. NCIS is very much a character-driven series, and each character is utterly believeable) but Abby rocks. Seriously.
If you like crime shows with tension, drama, humour and fantastic characters, NCIS is for you. XD

Extraordinary film, well worth even twice the money. A cinematography delight in every respect. Doc Holliday steals the film with his wonderful quirky humour and his enigmatic screen prescence, nearly out-shining Mr Earp himself.

While this is essentially a predictable Rom Com it has a lot going for it. Matthew Goode is irresistible, Prague and Venice look gorgeous, yes it's romantic and it's fun, fun, fun.
The extras are ok though you should skip the gag reel as it features only Jeremy Piven being even more irritating than usual.
Here's the bad news. The DVD is in a widescreen format that results in the picture being a miserable, narrow stripe across the centre of the tv, even a widescreen tv. Back in the days of video a film was altered to fit the then average 4.3 screen and I don't see why they can't now be adapted for 16.9. I'm fed up spending 15 minutes jiggling around with 'Aspect' to see which screen size distorts the picture least every time I want to watch a movie. This ... Read More:

Why was "Ravenous" on 2 discs? All the other episodes were just listed once. I even checked to see if it wasn't a typo, but it wasn't, I have the same episode recorded twice. Either I have been short changed or no one else has really noticed what is on the DVD?
