Chris Klein has intimate relations and falls in love with the most beautiful girl in town and finds out something rather shocking about her and has to leave town. This whole film is shocking and if their is something that most people don't like being discussed or made fun of, then that happens. Not recommended if you are under 15 years of age.

*SPOILERS CONTAINED IN THIS REVIEW*
Ashley Judd is the queen of interesting high concept stories that are rendered bland and toothless. Double Jeopardy should have been one of the greatest movies ever made, but it was a boring dud because it shied away from the moral darkness of the story. The same thing has happened to this film in my opinion.

The movie starts pretty poorly. It feels fake and contrived. I just got the feeling that it wasn't clicking, wasn't working.

Then the plot kicks in and it was quite interesting. It was more of a psychological drama than I expected as the lead character keeps blacking out, to then have to investigate murders the next day of men she had recently slept with. Is she a serial killer? ... Read More:

DVD : The Number 23 [2007] (REGION 1) (NTSC)

The Number 23 [2007] (REGION 1) (NTSC)

starring: Jim Carrey, Virginia Madsen, Logan Lerman, Danny Huston, Lynn Collins
directed by: Joel Schumacher
July 24, 2007

The Number 23 starts off very promisingly - another in the long line of psychological thrillers like Memento and The Machinist, it's one of Jim Carrey's 'serious' films - what humour there is is coincidental and purely deadpan. The set up - Carrey accidentally finding a book about a writer's obsession with The Number 23 ruling and destroying their life - is strong; the performances from the cast are great and the film looks very stylish too. The cut aways to passages from the book, narrated by Carrey, look particularly great.

But as the twist in the story is set up, the film moves quickly from great, to average and finally leaves you feeling disappointed. There could have been a great shock ending to the film, even with the film's twist kept intact; ... Read More:

I first watched this video when I was fifteen, it's the best portrayal of gangs and gang culture in the world.

They also get to ride round looking cool in their white coats swaying from side to side as they skate.

I have been looking for it on video ever since and I'm getting so desperate to get my hands on a copy of the video.
