I stumbled across this on the TV last night and watched [New Year telly is never that good] and did not know what to expect. But boy was I in for a treat.
It is not very often that such a good movie comes on the telly nowadays, as this one is. A simple little story told with tenderness and affection for each of the main characters.
Go out and buy it. I am doing that right now for my wife, who also loved it.

Having bought this 2 dvd pack of Zodiac I can tell you it is very good value if your someone who enjoys documentries or has a special interest in the film or facts of the zodiac killings. If your not typicly into the making of a film you still may find this 2 disc set good viewing as there is just over 2 and a half hours on the factcs of the zodiac case and thats jutt the factual section of disc 2. There are numerous interviews from the real people, police, victims, survivors etc. during the active time of the zodiac killer. There is so much detail in the film based on the real case files, the actors are dressed and wear clothes of the actual people at the time in grea detail. Seemingly every major source or person involved in the zodiac investigation ... Read More:

It was a pleasure to see Jennifer Garner go from Agent Bristow on Alias to this, it was a great change and a move. She clearly had a blast making this movie and I have a blast (with a young sister) watching this movie (though it resides in my collection) ;)
For £3 you cannot go wrong. That's less than half of cinema prices and is worth that to watch the dance sequence alone... as well as how fabulous Andy Serkis is.
As for the special features, the 'I was a teenage geek' is nice to watch and see some HI-larious pictures of the cast as teenagers and with 2 commentary's, there's enough covered for the 13 going on 30 fantastic

'Zodiac' is a good film that kept me interested for the whole duration, but with a slightly lack lustre ending. I know this is based on real events so the director was unable to spice the ending up too much, but I found the way it fizzled out and wrapped up the story with a few screens worth of writing at the end pretty poor pay off for well over 2 1/2 hours viewing. Saying that, this film is very atmospheric. It is excellently directed and the various actors do a top job in building suspense and keeping you hooked into the story. Some murder scenes early on are quite shocking and powerful without being excessively gratuitous, which is something in itself. Overall this is a good film, that should keep you watching, but don't expect too many plot twists ... Read More:

Bit of a strange one this - it's quite an old fashioned tale, it not only feels as is it's set in the 70's, it feels as if it was made then as well.
It's a real throwback to the likes of 'All The Presidents Men', 'Klute', 'The Parallax View' and all those other paranoid thrillers.
The film is a definite slow burner and isnt afraid to take it's time in building towards it's (slightly open ended) climax. If you're after an action packed thriller (like Finchers 'Seven' for instance) then this probably isnt for you.
This is a well acted, thoughtful ensemble piece with moments or genuine tension, which I think will come to be regarded as something of a classic in years to come.
From the back of the box i was expecting a bridget jones type of movie with emphasis on the tarts and vicars scene but i was sadly disappointed and felt like i had been ripped off with my purchase.
The plot was pathetic and i was amazed that such good actors would stoop to such low scripts.

This film is not particularly rich as for the content. A professional killer has been hired to eliminate all the witnesses and even the cops and other prosecution personnel in some criminal case. Banal. He does not want to drive his own car and he does not want to hire a car and an accomplice to drive him around. So he comes at night and just hires a taxi and its driver. That makes him difficult to trace. But that creates some problems because the taxi-driver is not really willing to do the job. And then the two are like mutual prisoners or custodians. One cannot work without the other and one cannot escape from the other. Yet the taxi-driver, after a long series of killings, finds the courage to cause an accident which means the arrival of the cops, but that also means the discovery ... Read More:

This film tells the story of a 23 year old woman, who lives with her partner and two young children in a trailer in her mother's back yard. Needless to say, they are a very poor family, and she spends her nights working as a cleaner to help put food on the table.
When she is diagnosed with cancer and given two months to live, she draws up a list of things to do before she dies. At this point, the film looks like it will simply be a version of the bucket list. But not so. After drawing up the list, she decides she will keep her illness a secret. She then sets out to do the items on her list, from sleeping with other men to see what its like, to attempting to set her soon to be bereaved husband up with a pretty female friend of hers.
