I originally saw the recent movie, and being a fan of the actors, thought it was great. I then went on to study it for my A-level Media Studies coursework. To aid in my research, I found the first series of the original series cheap, but only really watched the pilot episode and didn't really take much notice.
It was about 6 months when I found it at the back of my DVD cupboard and me and my twin sister thought we might as well watch it, as we knew it was really popular back in the day. And our Mum and Dad remembered and loved it!
We both became instantly addicted to it, working our way through the first series, and are currently halfway through the second series, and are very much looking forward to getting the third and ... Read More:

I wasn't even a twinkle in my parents' eyes when Starsky and Hutch first aired, but I can remember watching repeats with my dad when I was little. I thing I remember most (apart from 'The Striped Tomato') was Huggy Bear. Then a couple of months agos, I found the complete first season on DVD. Admittedly, I bought it because a) it was fairly inexpensive and b) David Soul and Paul Michael Glaser looked rather gorgeous, but from the moment I watched the pilot, I was well and truly hooked! In fact, I had to fight my dad off when I got it home!
Yes, some of the shows are, frankly, shocking - JoJo, for instance - but this was and still is a hard-hitting, no punches barred series. The chemistry between David Soul and Paul Michael Glaser ... Read More:

This movie was made during the Blackploitation period in the 70's. Its a good voodoo tale of revenge by the the very Beautiful Marki Bey(could give Pam Grier a run for her money in the fine as hell department). Sugar losses the love her her life Langston over his very lucrative night club to a local white gangster. She uses her voodoo roots to get kill each man one by one to get revenge for Langston. The thing that makes this movie unique then and now is the zombie make up, it was totally different from the standard Romero. This movie is worth a look!

Brilliant American cop series from the 70's. This is a 2- part story about the duo who are both tricked into going to Vegas to catch a serial killer who has been murdering show girls. I wont spoil the story for any body ,but if you're a fan of Starsky and Hutch this a cool video to have as part of your collection. Look out for Linda Carter of Wonder Woman fame .After watching this you will realise why the cop shows from the 70's were so good.

Volume two of the television series features one of my personal favourite episodes, name "The Psychic". Our two heroes are pitted against the clock to find the kidnapped daughter of a wealthy football owner. Eagle eyed viewer will glimpse a young Edward James Olmos who played Castillo in "Miami Vice" who has a bit part as Julio Gutterez, one of the villains. By far the best scenes are when Hutch has to race from telephone box to telephone box carrying $200 000 in ransom money to deleiver. However, it all goes wrong, Hutch gets shot and Starsky blows up the villains - the only ones who knew where the girl was being kept. Is it the end for the girl?
