I have not felt the need to review an amazon item before, but I'm choosing the West Wing to break my duck.

The West Wing is the best thing on television by some distance. It can be extremely funny, but it handles pathos better than any show I have seen. The acting is consistently superb and the fast-paced intelligent script writing is what makes the show so unique.

I cannot recommend it highly enough.

By the sound of some of these reviews you'd think people where expecting a complete spiritual revelation just by sticking in the DVD and pressing play.It is however an enlightning piece of work if you watch it three or four times, granted the production is'nt fantastic and the story gets a bit cheesy, but you can certainly come away with a renewed enthusiasm for further research in these areas and a better appreciation of the reality of reality.Amit Goswamis book is a good starting point .

I remember watching the very first episode hoping, to be blunt, for some gratuitous lesbian action. I stayed and bought every box set because of: great scripts, terrific actors, wonderful characters, terrific dialogue, unpredictability, marvellous wit, a (mostly) drop-dead gorgeous cast, and the fact that it was simply the best ongoing series on American tv since Buffy (though if I had to choose between the L Word and Battlestar Galactica my brain would probably freeze).

This season is no different from the rest but, like another reviewer, I'm not going to spoil it for you, though you may like to read the incredibly funny recaps on the afterellen website after you've seen the shows.

My only grumble is lack of subtitles and the pathetic ... Read More:

Yes the Dvd has its faults - the UK version is missing some elements as pointed out below.

It tries to look at the interface between quantum science and spirituality - something which can easily annoy both scientists and the religious. Some of the observations made are too 'new agey' for my taste. However, there is a lot that does make you pause and think - the application of entaglement theory to relationships; the power of our intention on the world around us; the way in which quantum physics explains so much that native spiritual traditions have claimed for so long.

For a reviewer to use Dawkins to counter the contents of the Dvd is interesting as he is increasingly being marginalised as someone who twists the facts in order to support ... Read More:

A parody of Hollywood, once more, Gosh. Nothing new will ever be done on that subject. It is a rattlesnake nest and nothing else. Only the details may change but the wider and the finer pictures are always the same. This particular film what's more is showing that everyone hates everyone and that everything is crooked and that all the every's you may think of are all berserk and warped. So what! What's the point? Is there a point? A no star film that ends up with stars. A bad ending that becomes good , they say happy, I know. An author who sells his skin for a million dollars. An exec that sells his soul for ten times more. Each million of those ten millions are extracted from the bones of one body turned into corpse. Morbid, morbid, morbid ! You kill someone and then ... This film has to be one film that I bought on impulse, don't really know why. But I have to say that it is way up there on my top ten list of favourite Gay Themed films. The film is of course helped by one or two famous actors, but look beyond them and the story as it unravels will have you reaching for the hankies, it pulls at your heart strings and you really do feel for the main characters. The story is well told and whats more it's believable. It is a film to watch either when your alone, or in need of having a good cry, and this film will surely deliver. I would reccomend buying it to anyone who has the ability to loose themselves within the story and enjoy it for what it is. A well told story within the Gay community. My advice would be go for it.
