Firstly I LOVE this movie. A longtime favorite that often gets re-played.
This revue pertains to the "Second Sight" DVD release. IMDB correctly lists the running time at 84 minutes. You'll note that this DVD's run time is 80 mins. I compared it to an old, but not very high quality video transfer, to see what was missing. I found that the entire movie IS complete on this DVD and I must admit it's a beautiful transfer, but for some unknown reason they speeded it up about 5 percent, making this 84+ min. movie run in only slightly more than 80 minutes. I suppose it's a minor quibble, but I thought I'd put a heads up for anyone considering this particular release. I will say again, it's a beautiful, sharp transfer ... Read More: >>More Details |

Ok - I hadn't got a clue what this film was about - no synopsis and no reviews. Its 4 women doing their wartime turns for soldiers at different camps. There is no storyline and their acts are pretty dreadful. The star guests aren't that good either. There are 2 good moments in the film - one is Carole Landis singing lit up by lighters as the lights go out because of an air raid, and the other is Mitzi Mayfair dancing like a crazy woman - very entertaining (she can kick the back of her head and her legs go everywhere!). My girlfriend wanted to keep the film just for her dancing but its NOT a good film. The extras are short but interesting as we find out about Kay Francis's lesbian tendencies, her "affair" with Carole Landis while on tour, and Carole ... Read More:
